Twin Star Home 48" Mantel Shelf with Purposeful Distressing and Optional Corbels, Veneer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Twin Star Home 48" Fireplace Shelf Mantel! It is has a beautiful gray modern farmhouse look. It was shipped to me, and I was very surprised by how heavy it was when I 1st picked it up. I really am happy that it is made out of real wood and not the cheap stuff. It was very easy to install, but as I said before it is very heavy so you might need help. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand, and it was a breeze to hang up. It is different than other shelves, because you have to hand a piece on the wall and then sit the actual shelf onto it. I had my husband to put our TV on it to see if it was good and sturdy, and it is! I can't wait to start decorating it for the holidays! I would highly recommend this shelf!

It is a heavy thick piece of wood for the shelf. It also has where you can add supports under the shelf.. The is a deep grey color and has divets in the wood for a more rustic feel. It will give any room.great character. I would recommend this product.

This shelf is heavy it is made with good wood this is a very classy decorative mantel shelf. This could be used in an office or home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up this 48" Fireplace Shelf Mantel by Twin Star Home mainly because the color was an excellent match to the room we were redoing. I hadn't actually heard of Twin Star Home, so when the piece was delivered practically fully assembled I was shocked. This piece is solidly built and the provided instructions to complete installation (final assembly and wall mounting) were diagrammed well and simple to follow. I will be looking forward to additional purchases for matching pieces from the Twin Star Home collection of products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fireplace shelf was super easy to assemble and hang. I have never seen a shelf that hangs like this. There is a piece that is screwed to the wall and the shelf has a groove on the inside for it to be placed right onto the attached wall piece. This made it very easy to hang and it seems much more sturdy than other ways shelves are hung. The two bottom ornamental pieces can be used or it looks great without them too. The gray color and antique look goes great with our old house.

It seems to be very sturdy and well made. I would recommend this mantel shelf to anyone. This mantel is 48 inches wide. It arrived packaged very securely and undamaged.

The grey color is fabulous. It is well built and sturdy, it's hard to believe it came in a box. It looks like it was custom built. It was fairly simple to instalL but you definitely need two people.

It seems to be well made and sturdy but it's humongous and extremely heavy, it took two people to pick it up and I haven't found a spot to put it yet because I'm afraid of it damaging the wall and falling. For something this big I would recommend using a lighter wood.

I was very surprised when I received this in the mail cause I had to drag this heavy box with all my strength. This item is heavvvy.....it has to be around 40-50 lbs. you will need 2 people at least to help install. Other than that, item is very nice and very well made. It has a modern farmhouse look to it: midtown grey with very minimal artificial painted on aging look (some black streaks here and there). It has a very smooth texture, almost shiney since grey is painted on esp. if you look up close. Therefore If you are going for a natural distressed look or attempting the Scandinavian look, this may not be what you are looking for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product I was disappointed in the overall quality of it. It looks much more authentic in the photos online. It looks like distressed wood online but in person it clearly looks doesn't look alike a real wood grain as I expected. It is very heavy and sturdy as would be expected for a mantle shelf and I like the overall color...just not the texture.
