The reseller in Utah sold me two 90-day supply bottles of TwinLab's multi-vitamins with an expiration date less than 6 months from purchase date. Vitamins typically have shelf lives of 2-3 years. These old bottles cannot be sold at usual market cost in retail stores since consumers commonly want the freshest product. The cost of these two bottles couldn't be effectively moved off the retail shelves in brick-and-mortar stores. So, resellers take these products that are sometimes unsaleable there and put them online to sell. It's a shady practice but not illegal. It's not right to treat customers like this - to sell them dated products that are basically ready for the dumpster. I did get my money refunded, however, thanks to WalMart's intervention. The reseller replied to defend their practice of selling nearly expired vitamins with "a minimum of 6 months" left. Try selling them online with that explanation upfront - few would want to buy them unless they were much less cost than what I was charged.
