These worked great for Rats. Even smart ones were caught . It's easy to place the bait from the bottom and then open the trap till it clicks. The size of the opening is large on these traps so they can catch larger prey like squirrels. But the jaws are also very big and could really injure a pet or person!! So do not allow kids or pets anywhere near them!! One trick i used to make sure my dogs wouldn't find them is to put them inside a 12 pack of coke case. They fit snug and you have to set the trap 1st so be very very careful . Open both ends of the case and put it where you want it out of the way where pets can't reach but rodents can and slide the set trap in and close the back tabs. You can try to gently tape them or have tape already on them so you just have to carefully close and tape shut. I used mozzarella cheese sticks and just pinched off a small piece to use for bait. With these big traps you have to use something that smells like strong cheese but you need to push it down into the cup and really try to get it soft enough to stick. Peanut Butter did not work as well, they were able to lick it off without putting their hands or head on the traps' plate. If you use peanut butter use a q tip to put it inside the cup without getting much on the sides , you want them to have to reach their hands and head in deep to ensure capture. It kills them instantly and leaves no blood. Then it's super easy to take the trap outside, they stink terribly if you throw them in the trash. I throw them over the fence for nature to use.
I have being looking for a rat trap that works for so long, I usually use the old time wooden snap traps but my hands won't allow me to set the traps anymore these are absolutely perfect easy disposal of the Rat no mess just squeeze it and the rat falls out and you do it again love it
Don't waste your money on other traps. Mice are too smart. i live in the high desert and finally have a trap that's so worth the money spent. They are easy to fill with bait. so far just peanut butter has been used, and within 24-48 mice started getting caught
One of the Best Traps i have ever bought, i tried so many different but this one is the most effective, durable reliable. It catches small medium and big rats mices. It is very strong and rats keep getting trapped of you put cheese on it. Last week ive killed 8 of them. For the first time in my life. Im so happy with this. Please everyone try this you will get results 100000%
Thanks to some crazy amounts of rain, I had a bunch of mice invade my tiny apartment. I got these traps and used peanut butter and bacon bits and it worked like a charm. Under the trap is a twistable slot to remove and add your bait. Once your ready, just press the end of the trap and place them where you need them. BE SO CAREFUL because they have a hair trigger. Also, be careful if you have pets! I had to get creative so my beagle didn't get into them!
i got a case of these gator jaws, these are so simple to use nomore snapping your fingers nomore jumping up trying to bite you get Reed of the old wooden traps that snap you more then the critters these are small gator jaws has a little cup for bait you can load from the bottom then sit thectrap down where you want it tgen with one finger push the the top down till it clicks and its set so easy and finger safe the next click you here will be 1 less varmit tear your house down and with out touching the critter you squeez the trap so the jaws open shake it over the trash or flush it and done your bait still tgere so put it back and repeat reusable these should be sold in the store safe and easy easy to set easy-to-use easy to cleanup get reed of them nasty glue and wood traps cause it just got easier
These are the best mouse traps I've ever used. I immediately got a mouse every time I put one out, with peanut butter. This was after using several sticky traps and wooden type mouse traps.
I must just have a mouse that's smarter than the traps! I put 12 in every room, not one has been snapped. I used peanut butter which is suppose to be their favorite. I say one run against the wall , none have been snaped. I hard my regular handy man fix them. Any suggestions would be great.
These traps need to be anchored to the ground because the trap flies upward off the ground when tripped thus making it easy for a rodent to escape. Mine have been tripped 6 times by rodents, yet no results. I will need to find something that will anchor the trap to the ground.
These simply don't work. At all. Sure, you put the peanut butter in the bait cup (BTW, one of them was previously used- there was old peanut butter in the bait cup that someone sloppily wiped out), press the top down til it clicks and is set, and place it where desired. However, I find them set off without catching anything. I am so disappointed- I am trying to control huge rats in my shop that are difficult to get rid of. Glue traps that work appx half the time seem to be the only way to go.
