I really enjoy the flavor and texture of this diced chicken. I have a very specific and restricted diet (omad). I really appreciate the convenience of this product. I pair 4oz of this chicken with 3 cups of steamed fresh vegetables (riced cauliflower, peas, minced carrots, asparagus, onions, tricolored bell peppers, chopped broccoli, sliced mushrooms, and brussel sprouts). I add black pepper and salt free garlic and herb seasoning (McCormick). There’s enough sodium in the chicken to account for salt seasoning. I meal prep this 2 weeks at a time. Each day, I pull one package from the freezer and heat it. I’ve eaten this meal six days per week, for the past 11 months, and I really love it. I’m healthier and my weight is under control. (Just fyi - in my year long experience eating this product, I’ve only found a couple of pieces of gristle.)
This is truly some good chicken. There is no gristle in it and it’s all white meat. And you can use it in so many different ways. I’ve made dumplings with it. Spaghetti with it. Put it over rice. That’s just a few ways I’ve used it. Well worth the price.
This chicken is great for any quick meal. I have baked it adding few spices and spraying w butter type spray and adding parm or any type cheese and crisp it up its a fast tasty delicious meal ( while baking put some buttery with or wo cheese garlic bread wrapped in foil and you could make it in to sandwivhes or eat and use leftovers for sandwiches w lettuce and mayo . GREAT EVEN TO MAKE A CHICKEN POTATO SALAD.
I love the versatility of this product. You can add extra spices to flavor it so we do so for a tea Greek pitas or add I love the versatility of this product. You can add extra spices to flavor it so we do so for Greek pitas, Cajun Jambalay, or add to Alfredo sauce. It makes cooking easy during the week when life is hectic.
Great lean protein option for quick meals- precooked, so I can eat right out the bag with some sauce or microwave in a pita with cheese for a healthy quesadilla There were a few gristly or chewy bits in the bag but most of it was tender and flavorful
Tyson's Diced Chicken is pretty good, but I have to ding it since the pieces aren't uniform at all unlike the picture. The bag will include pieces that are basically crumbs all the way up to what appears to be just hunks of chicken. A few odd pieces here and there is to be expected, but you would expect the bag to be mainly composed of uniform cubes and that just isn't the case.
I get this to add to my salad kits. Add it to the kit the night before and by lunchtime (in the fridge) it’s perfectly thawed out and ready to eat. My only complaint is that the diced chicken can be rather large and needs to be cut up into smaller bite-sized pieces. Other than that, it tastes great and is super convenient.
When I bought these "diced" chicken chunks I thought they'd actually be smaller, bite sized, diced pieces. These were HUGE pieces. They are hard to evenly reheat/thaw in the microwave. The flavor is good, mild seasoning, but not just a plain cooked chicken breast so that's good have to get the convenient items. There are a bit of fatty, gelatinous, spots in some of the pieces in this bag (I've bought 3 so far).
They changed the formulation of this product, probably in hopes of improvement, but as so often happens-it has the opposite effect. Previously the chunks were smaller and all white. Now they are larger (a good thing), but additionally many of the pieces have an almost burned edge, which some cultures may find tasty-but as an American-not so much. I hope they bring back the previous formulation, or the larger pieces WITHOUT the burned edge. In the interim...I have stopped buying this particular product.
