TYTUS Silver 304 Stainless Steel Griddle

Perfect for our new Tutus grill. Will be fun to cook breakfast outdoors.

Just received it. Very heavy duty. Looks like it's going to be great. I only wish that the drip pan was removable.

If you are thinking of using this for Smash Burgers, don't do it. I think for everything that does not require high heat, this will work. Here's the problem, it is not a solid piece of 304 stainless steel. They have a secondary layer of steel spot welded to the bottom of the griddle and I'm guessing it's not 304. I had to remove half of my grill grate to get this in a lower position, also removing the heat shields and flavor bars on one side to try and get the temps up high enough to make smash burgers. I cranked all 4 burners up to high and closed the lid, when it got to 700F inside the grill I opened it and tested temp with a IR gun. the griddle was just above 400F, just border line hot enough. The first 4 smash patties I did turned out well but the griddle had cooled down to around 350F now and it was no longer hot enough to sear fast and furious. It also warped enough to break two of the spot welds on one side so now the second layer on the bottom is acting like a heat shield from the top because there is an air gap between them. So I'm not happy about being misled about the 304 stainless. Yes it has some 304 but it's not solid so more susceptible to warping. A thicker solid piece of steel might work but not this one.
