U-Tec U-Bolt Pro Bluetooth 6-in-1 Fingerprint and Keypad Smart Home Lock

I bought two of this lock over a year ago for my short term vacation rental house. One of the lock has been working great however another lock recently started to give me an issue. It does lock and unlock, however during lock it will make some unusual noise. I contacted the customer service, interestingly no one picked up the phone but I got option for voicemail, so I left voicemail. Surprisingly one of the agent called me that evening, we discussed the issues over phone. He directed me to online form to complete. After this we exchanged few emails and they directed me to try few steps. They did assure me that if they won't able to fix the problem then they will be happy to send me the new lock. One of the things they told me to update 'firmware' and this did fix the problem. So as of now everything is working great. I must say that I had a very pleasent experience communicating them and I will definetly recommend this lock.

Quality of this lock has deteriorated and customer service is ridiculous. Not hard to install but does not work and then you get stuck in endless loop of watching a million video just to learn you did install it correctly and it is the lock that is defective. 100 hrs later, in exhaustion, you wake up and just return the thing. Learn from my mistake and don't buy it to begin with

This doesn't come with the bridge which is $50.00 > it states all the things it can do but fails to mention that I can't do it without the bridge. Rip off because all locks don't need the bridge but this one does, not mentioned up front.

Based on the reviews, we bought 4 of these sets on 3/26/21 and had them installed shortly thereafter. Everything has been working relatively well up until about a month ago when the fingerprint reader on the garage lock failed to operate. I changed the batteries, did a factory reset, reinstalled the lock and was unable to fix the problem. I reached out to the company and after 4-5 back and forth emailed, including me sending pics and videos of the defective unit, they came back to me and said the unit was outside of the 3 month warranty for electronic components and the best they could offer was a 30% discount on a replacement unit. Mind you, this fingerprint reader has been used less than 50 times since we owned it and has been well maintained and has already failed. I don't know about you, but I have zero interest in buying more junk from a manufacturer that refuses to back its product, specifically when the defect is related to one of the primary functions of the lock. Will be replacing with a different manufacturer's product, something that lasts and with a company that backs what they sell.
