UAG Microsoft Surface Go 4 / Surface Go 3 / Surface Go 2 / Surface Go Case 10.5" Plasma w/Hand Strap & Shoulder Strap Featherlight Drop Tested Cover

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good product. I've dropped my tablet many times at work and it still works great!

Loved the case so much bought a second after losing my first, strap has a good feel to it that isn't sticky or slimy but not much for size adjustment, real solid design while keeping the size pretty slim, stylus holder is pretty handy and snug, kick stand could go with a deeper rest (much closer to 110 degrees then the base surface kick stand).

I have owned the Surface Go, Go 2 and now Go 3, and have purchased a UAG Metropolis case for all of them. This is because these cases offer excellent protection, while also being compatible with a Signature Type keyboard cover if you so choose (it also has a protective strip that can choose to use instead to protect all sides of the device if you don't want to use a keyboard cover with your device). The power and volume buttons are tactile, though they do require harder presses to activate. There is a lip on the protective edges that does protect the screen when faced down. And there is a kickstand with three possible angles to use. The metal (aluminum) used for this version (Surface Go 3) of the kickstand is smoother to the touch and therefore more comfortable to use. Previous versions felt a bit raw. If I had to make one criticism, it would be the sound of the kickstand deployment mechanism. In a quiet room, you will be heard. Anyway, couldn't recommend this any more highly than I do. Excellent.

Much more lightweight than other cases and not as robust. However for me, I wanted to keep the weight down so this is ok. The strap which holds the keyboard doesn't look super strong either, will see if it lasts. Happy overall, what I was looking for

handstrap is comfortable, pen holder works. the bottom bar seems flimsy without the keyboard cover, but I wouldn't trade the kickstand cutout for that. haven't actually dropped it yet, but that means the handstrap is doing it's job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use a Metropolis case on my MS Surface Pro 7 and its great. It has several support positions which lock in tightly. Unfortunately, the support "kickstand" on the Metropolis case we received for my Wife's Surface GO 2 has only 2 positions, nearly vertical (roughly 55 degrees) and nearly flat (roughly 135 degrees). Also, the support stand seems to not be able to lock in tightly for the 2 positions. It would be great if more positions were available, and each adjustable position would fit tight. Other than the situation with the support stand, the remainder of the case is built pretty well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nine years ago, I purchased a Metropolis Series for a Surface 3, and really liked it. When I needed to buy a Surface Go 4 this summer, I looked for the same/similar design/model for the Go 4. If you use the Surface Go to write with, be warned! There are two major design flaws in the current design of the case. (1) When the kick stand is in its 3rd position (as reclined as it can be), the stand does not lock in place. If you push on the Surface at all, the stand bends further down and then bounces back when you release pressure from the screen. I use the Surface Go to teach from and write on the screen all the time. I need the screen in the 3rd position to get the Surface as flat as I can to write, but still at an angle since I am standing and looking at students while I write. The flex of the stand when any pressure is applied makes the stand not useable for my purpose. I had to resolve to closing the stand and using a textbook to prop/angle the Surface to write on. I did NOT have this problem with the Surface 3 model of the case. (2) The other flaw deals with the thickness of the case where the keyboard attaches. There is too much case/material on that side of the case. When the keyboard is attached AND the kick stand is being used, the keyboard does not lay flat. Over time, I am afraid that this will wear on the flexible part of the keyboard that connects to the Surface. Also, the keyboard can bounce up/down when you type making it harder to type. Given Microsoft has been moving towards keyboards that don't connect at all (Bluetooth) and the Surface Go series not being sold on their website for the general public (Go 4 is a business model), I doubt either of these flaws will get fixed by UGA. However, given this case works for Surface Go 1, 2, 3, and 4, these flaws should have been fixed years ago. I am disappointed in the design. When I need to purchase another tablet and case in the future, I will be more cautious in what case I purchase.
