I bought this for my son as a Christmas present. He's been playing about 4 years. He loves this method. He owns a Fender MIM Stratocaster and an Epiphone Hummingbird acoustic. He's used both with Rocksmith 2014 Edition and has had great success. I can see the improvement in his playing already. If there were something like this when I started playing 49 years ago I might be good today. haha
Purchased it for Son's Christmas, he has already learned songs on Bass and regular guitar. All for less than the price of one guitar lesson with a private instructor. It's only been 2 weeks!! (He always wanted to play but never did quite get it before...we actually thought he would try it a couple of times and then it would never be seen or heard again... :) Now the Xbox 360 is a guitar instructor not just a make believe world of destruction. If only it could teach him to sing on key...LOL.
Phenominal product! I'd never played guitar before Rocksmith and it is unbelievable what I can do in just one weeks time! Anyone interested in learning how to play should pick this up immediately!
Dear Future Customers, I've been playing guitars for +10 years, wish I've started with this software. By now I'd would been a guitar RockStar by now, and the software is easy to follow. If your child wants this product don't hesitate, buy the the software! Look as an investment, and later your ears, wallet money would be appreciated.
Awesome game. For once I won't tell my kids to get off Xbox when they're playing Rocksmith, because they are learning so much!
this is a nice product for anyone who is interested in learning how to play. It goes over all the basics and helps you even tune.
Having read reviews of latency, I now understand that is due to the way one hooks up for video and sound. The game is teaching me how to play slowly but in a fun way and that is why I purchased it.
Bought the game because I'm interested in learning guitar. It is really engaging, entertaining and teaches well. I can actually feel myself learning to play guitar through the mini-games and learning tutorials. Definatley buy this if your even thinking about it. Guitar was only $80-100 and looks awsome, of course a beginners guitar. No regrets at all with this purchase.
It's a good way to learn the guitar if thats what you want to do. It's not rockband or an easy music game. It's more challenging and uses a real guitar. I wish the selection of music was bigger but good selection overall. Music is modern in genre. Wish I would have known that you are better off having a surround sound/home theatre system for optimum quality. If you don't have that then there is a little lag between what you see and when you hear it, but it's not awful. I wish it would teach you how to play the multi-notes better, more of a tutorial than just throwing you into it without covering all the basics. But overall I would buy it again
I used to play bass guitar but haven't in a long time this game helps you play but I started off as a beginner then the game would like to go into moderate to hard mode .
