This is the best rod and reel combo ever. Easy to use and light and compact to be able to carry anywhere. super strong! I've caught 10 pound Bass, large catfish, even a 5 FOOT LONG alligator gar on it ( I tied on a steel leader) with just the line that comes already on the spinning reel. Definitely the best rod and reel in my entire life. i was hesitant at first just from the size of it, but I'm glad i went with it. Great things do come in small packages!

The dock runner is the most fun you can have targeting small fish. It’s the same quality and value as any ugly stik combo, only smaller, and it gives even fish under a pound or two the opportunity to put up a great fight

Small and strong
Great small combo for the price great to have in your car as a backup or as an emergency when you're out and you see a chance to fish. The reel is OK for small freshwater fish. The rod itself is pretty strong. I’ve put a heavier wheel on it and used it on the beach and caught some nice sized fish..

The best pole yet according to my husband.
My husband is so in love with this pole. He’s already gotten a few fishes with it and he can’t wait to show it off to his brothers when we go camping soon. Very flexible. Light weight and easy to store away.

I purchased this rod for my 6 (almost 7) year old. This was a step up from his little spiderman pole that was tiny with a closed-face, push button reel. He wanted to learn how to use an open-faced reel like his big bubba who lives to fish. Everything about this rod is PERFECT. The length of the pole to the reel to the overall quality. You can’t beat getting this rod at that price for the overall quality and performance of this rod. Highly recommend!

cheap and or defective real
the pole so far is decent but the real literally crack and broke apart on second use, I did not drop it and nothing happened to it for it to break the way it did so it either was defected or cheap material used for the real the ugly stick pole itself so far seems to be legit would be nice for manufacturer to replace what is broken or give money back.

It was a good reel until it broke it still works but the connection to the bail from the but of the reel is gone and scratches the inside up when you reel. Haven’t taken it apart so i know it’s not a user error. If it didn’t break it’s a 5/5 stars
