Ultimate Ears Portable Bluetooth Speaker, Black, MEGABOOM EXC

Hello All! I recently received the ‘Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Walmart Exclusive' for review purposes. I had no idea how gorgeous the design and packaging would be. Each time I opened box; I could hear a small symphony playing in my head. I appreciate when companies prepare a product for use so that right out of the box, this speaker was ready to start BOOMING! With the 360-degrees of sound feature, I can clearly hear the music playing from any angle and there's no need to reposition the speaker if I am working in the garage, cleaning the house etc. I can hear it everywhere! What really sets this speaker apart from the other Bluetooth speakers I've had is the Ultimate Ears App. This app allows you to link music streaming services and gives the ability to launch those streaming channels directly from the speaker itself. While I have not had the chance, nor will I purposely test the waterproof and float ability, it was knocked off my desk by the cat today and no bumps or visual dings are apparent. It is reassuring to know that the MEGABOOM EXC is rated IP67 for the crazy summer days at the lake and can be submerged up to 30 minutes. As well as a massive 20-hour battery life which is great for travel, poolside, a barbeque with friends, or just chill at home. I would definitely recommend the MEGABOOM EXC to anyone looking for a sleek, quality speaker to jam out with some tunes regardless of your location.

Holy cow. So I was blown away by this speaker. I thought for sure this speaker wasn't going to meet my expectations. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to how quality my music sounds through speakers, so much so that I often only listen through good headphones because nothing else compares that great. I'm converted!!! I tried shows, movies, podcasts and music to get an idea of it all on here. The range is incredible, the sound never breaks, gets fuzzy or blows out even at the highest and lowest volume setting. You can adjust volume from phone or speaker. I love the big volume buttons on the side and the overall design, not that it really matters but it does have a nice, sleek aesthetic. It's easy to use for those who aren't tech advanced, the instructions are simple! You can even use a wireless charger with it. I needed one with this waterproof rating and ability to float because I mostly like a speaker for camping and kayaking and since the weather is about to allow both, this will work so great! I'm so excited I found such a good value speaker. It does not come with a carabiner but it does have a very sturdy nylon loop at the top to attach one, so that's all I need! It's a nice hefty weight, so backpacking with it may get annoying for some but I think that just makes it more sturdy. It's also about the size of a 1 liter bottle of soda, so it really is a good size speaker!

This MegaBoom Speaker is a Gem! I live in a Large NYC apartment and this speaker travels all through out this home with crisp! I can leave it in the kitchen and hear everything perfectly in the other side of the house. I have been traveling with it in every room of this home. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom... the sound quality is amazing. Even while in the shower, with running water, it can read out my audible books with perfection. The setup for this Gem was so easy and I also love that I can easily control within the Ultimate Ears app. Increasing and Decreasing the volume, bass, MID and treble. A lot of ways I can customize, especially if I move to a noisier setting. I am already plotting on bringing this to our Summer BBQ in the neighborhood. Want this right alongside me and bursting out the best sound of tunes. The selections on top respond so quickly, it connects just as quickly when you turn on and I love even more that you can press both + and - at the same time to know the battery percentage. The lady that announces the battery level sounds so professional I think I should also bring this to my office lol. I have had my share of portable speakers and that's also because I couldn't afford the most expensive ones so I settled for cheaper models that didn't have the best quality. But the sound and quality of this within this price range fits me perfectly. Again, truly a Gem!

This is a really nice speaker. We love listening to music in the house, and I've been using this speaker every day to listen to music. The sound is very clear and has really good bass. The battery last really good, I charge it once every two days, and we listen to music a lot, and haven't had any problems with running out of battery. I think it would last even longer probably I just haven't checked. It was very easy to set up, and I like that it has one button for everything and very easy to control whatever you need. I haven't tested the waterproof feature but it'll be great for summer days by the pool.

Man this thing is loud! Crisp sound and awesome base. I literally can use it as a surround sound for my living room but I have a setup already for my TV so I use it for my barbecues and get togethers. You just pair with your phone via Bluetooth and play whatever you want. It has sound that comes out all around the box not just the front. I have not dropped or got it in water so I can't speak for the drop proof and water proof part but overall I looooove this boombox! And since I've gotten older and become a parent I worry about safety more so to know its UL certified is a plus.

This speaker has amazing sound quality. I turned the volume up and I could hear it through my whole house! I also love how easy it was to pair. I did not have to figure out a button combination for pairing mode, when I turned it on it went into pairing mode on its own and in seconds it was linked to my phone. Very easy and user friendly. I also love that it is waterproof as it will be used outside a ton. Great product!

I love this speaker. It's extremely loud and one of the best wireless speakers I've ever had. The sound is very clear and would be good for any event or party. It's also a really nice size that's very convenient. I highly recommend it if you need something with excellent volume. I use my speaker every day.

I have been very happy and super impressed with this portable speaker! The speaker produces loud and clear sounding music. The audio is perfectly balanced and clear. It really produces huge sound for a smaller sized speaker. It really delivers loud sound performance with the hardest hitting bass that I have ever heard. You can actually feel the bass. It's honestly louder and clearer than I thought it would be. I also love that it has a cylindrical design, that allows the audio to radiate evenly in all directions. So no matter where you set it or where you are, you get the same great sound quality. It was also thankfully very easy to sync to my device since it has a pairing button right on the top of the speaker. So it's basically only a press of a button to get your device paired with the speaker. It took only a minute or 2 to have it completely paired up with my device & was the easiest setup that I have ever experienced. There are also buttons right on the speaker that allow you to play, pause and even skip certain tracks. So you can fully control your music directly from this speaker. I'm also highly impressed with the battery life of this speaker. It can last almost an entire day on a single charge. I think I got about 18-20 hours of battery life before I had to charge it again. That's really impressive for a portable speaker. It's also a heavy well made speaker and feels like it can handle a tumble or accidental drop. The craftsmanship is excellent and I'm sure I will get many years from it. I have been super happy with this speaker and really can't find anything that I dislike about it. If your looking for a speaker that has amazing battery life and most importantly amazing sound quality then this is the one for you! You won't be disappointed. I absolutely love everything about this speaker and I would highly recommend it!

The Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM Portable Bluetooth Speaker is by far one of the best portable Bluetooth speakers I have ever used! It offers 360 degrees of sound which most speakers don't do. There is an app you can download on your Smart phone which allows you to control the Speaker's power, volume and you change equalizer settings which I think is really cool. There is a “Magic Button” on the speaker that allows you to skip tracks as well as play and pause them from the speaker directly. This speaker is waterproof and can be completely submerged for up to 30 minutes without damage and it floats! It is shock proof which is great for when you may be around a rowdy group. You can also get 20 hours of battery life from this speaker from one charge. This speaker is AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend it to family and friends!!

Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM Portable Bluetooth Speaker Walmart Exclusive from Wal-Mart you will need an ipad or ipod would've been cool if you could've connected to any device I have an ipad so I'll connect to that device I love the feel of this device it's not too heavy but it has some weight to it mines is black right on the front you have to plus sign for up and down you can also stand the device up or lay it flat I will sit mines up I read you can put these into water however I will not even attempt such a thing
