Bought this for my son for his birthday. He loves it! He owned a previous version but it was stolen and he wanted to replace it with the same. He uses it at chess club at his university in a public space and it works well!
Purchased on Black Friday as a Christmas present, and it was a good deal. It is recommended by NYT wirecutter, so I feel it is a trusted and reliable speaker.

easy setup, loud and clear
I needed a speaker for use around the house to stream music from my iPhone or computer, and this one does the job. I'm not an audiophile so I can't give a full low-down on subtleties of the audio quality. Mostly it sounds perfectly good to me. Mostly, but not entirely. I wish it had an equalizer function beyond the built-in options. There isn't even an iPhone or Android app for this model. With some of the songs I like that have lyrics sung in a quieter mode, the words sometimes seem lost or muddy compared to what I remember from the CD player and equalizer on my old, dead, very non-portable system.
It did not come with a charging cable but we found one around the house that worked.
Unit cuts out don't know how to replace. It was told. I had to send it back to the manufacturer.
