Video cam is surprisingly very nice. It will need to be charged before using and we had to reformat the digital card but recordings are very clear in sound and picture. There is also a light and many zoom features.Overall nice starter cam.

The zoom is just a digital zoom, which doesn't retain all actual pixels, it just creates a stretched out view where details get murky and blue rather than retaining their original definition. The video records well but the highest definition setting appears to be a digital boosting of 1080p to 2k, and not a true native 2k, but it still captures everything well, and keeps things looking good regardless. The controls are not easy to learn, and they could be simplified quite a bit, but you can still manage to get the results you're looking for after spending some solid time going over how to use the different controls from the manual and practicing with the camera itself.
