Why did I wait so long!

Carla August 24, 2025

These deck tiles have changed the appearance of my entire back yard, There is such an improvement over the plain concrete patio. Installation was a breeze for my installer who had no familiarity with the product. (At a younger age I would have done it myself with no trouble.) The installer said, "I love this stuff! I'm going to show it and sell it to folks." It does get hot in the bright 95-100 degree days. Don't walk on it barefoot in extreme heat while it is in sunlight. It has a long life expectancy according to the manufacturer. The deck tiles feel sturdy and secure. Oh, another positive is it's portability. The tiles are not attached and can be moved if you switch addresses or just change your mind.

Great Decking Surface!

hducwanderer December 2, 2016

We purchased these tiles to lay over an older wood balcony deck. They create a great finished deck which can be used immediately after installation. The deck we installed these over is 8' x 10'. We bought eight boxes of the tiles which fit perfectly in the area. It took us about 35 minutes to lay the New TechWood tiles. The interlocking tabs were nice and tight but didn't require a mallet as the video showed. Once a couple of the tabs were set in place and aligned, a light press of the foot set the remaining interlocking tabs. The tiles were very consistent in sizing so the finished deck looks great with all tiles spaced properly. And with the grid backplate, airflow for the underlying wood deck allows the wood to dry in the event of rain and should also prevent mold and rot. Some of the original wood deck had warped slightly. These tiles easily handled the uneven surface since they simply float on the surface and have the open grid underneath. The tiles have now been through some under 32 degree days without showing any distress due to the cold and also direct sunlight in 70+ degree days. The deck still looks as good as day one. The reason we used this product is to be able to enjoy the balcony barefoot without concerns for aging wood and splinters. We had a friend who asked about the new deck when visiting, in particular about the tile grid system. In less than a minute we were able to release one of the tiles in the corner to show him. He also got to reinstall it using the tab align and foot method in about the same time. Whether we would ever take the deck up and move it is unknown but its nice to know we could. We would use these tiles again without hesitation. They make older or less desirable surfaces usable again.

Rusty dock solution

Blick March 16, 2017

I have been fighting rust stains on my cement dock for 18 years. Have tried everything from drilling out the old rebar to trying to cover it with all kinds of paint and epoxy, with no success. Looks good for a month or two but then the rust reappears. I put these composite tiles down in a few hours and have received nothing but compliments on how it looks. We are on the salt water in the Florida Keys and everything rusts. With this design the water will be able to drain through the plastic base and the rust will not stain the composite surface of the tiles (Hopefully). Only time will tell, but I am optimistic at this point.

looks a whole lot like wood. Nice look.

Easy to push together, not as easy to pop back apart, but doable. Easy to cut to size with table saw.

Awesomely easy to install

Section119 April 4, 2016

We just covered our back patio with these deck tiles and couldn't be happier. The tiles look great and were so easy to install that it's hard to believe . If you have an old concrete pad or just one you'd like to dress up, this is your answer. They are literally half the price we were quoted to stain the patio and look twice as good. Do not let the installation scare you at all. They snap together so easily a child could do it. We live in the south and this is the best way to dress up the back yard and extend the living area to the outside....with style!

Good- very easy to install. Just clicks together. No tools or skills needed. Seems durable Bad- has the appearance of plastic, not wood. Make sure the surface is level with no warped deck boards underneath it. Overpriced in my opinion.
