I love my new trash can. It allows me to fill up the whole bag with trash before taking it out of the can. my old one I had to pull up and out and continue to fill. It locks the bag on. The top stays up so if I'm peeling something it stays open, hands free. I really am very happy I got this and I love the color!

I was looking for a lidded trash can and came across this Umbra Brim 13 gallon Kitchen trash can. I have a few other Umbra products that I have had over a year which are very durable and I really like. So, I felt confident buying this trash can. It was delivered in great condition. The design is really nice.. The color looks modern. The foot pedal works great. I'm very happy with my purchase. This trash can uses 13 gallon bags. I use the Great Value brand Strong Flex, fresh cotton scented bags. They fit perfectly into this can. The design of the can holds the top of the bag tightly opened and there is a ring that clicks down over the bag edge. I have no bag slippage and I am able to completely fill the bag. Step onto the foot pedal to open the lid and toss the trash in.

Nice, clean and modern appearance. I just learned the trash bag should be placed under the rim not over. I have the silver/gray trash bin and it blends well with stainless steel appliances.

I just added this large, sturdy garbage can to my workshop. It's been great for handling wood scraps and garbage from my workshop. It is big and sturdy. I love the step on feature because I can open it hands free and sweep things off my work table straight into the can.

This Umbra trashcan with a step-to-open lid looked like a nice compliment to our kitchen color scheme, and we needed a new one. Place a trash bag in is easy, and it has the inner lid that keep it in place, which is good. The big problem is that the lid will NOT open all the way, nor will it stay open. This is quite aggravting when I'm working in the kitchen and need it open for a period of time. Instead, I must open the lid EVERY single time I want to throw an item away. It appears that it does have an extra slot for the lid to open fully, and possibly stay propped open, BUT, I cannot get the lid to open that far, the hinge part of the lid will NOT move to the 2nd slot. It seems this may be a malfunction, but it more so seems like it's made of a cheaper, flimsier plastic. One picture is showing the max opening of the lid at a 45-60° angle. That is as far as the lid will open when stepping on foot pedal, or opening the lid by hand. The lid should open to a 90° angle, and be able to stay open, locked in place. The 2nd picture is to show the lid hinge, and the extra slot that it will not move into.

It arrived broken. Contacted seller right away. No response for almost three weeks.

Lid was cracked upon delivery.
