Umbra Hubba Round Metal Wall Mirror

Gorgeous round mirror! It is solid, well made and completely what you would expect from Umbra. It will be going in our bathroom as part of a reno so we haven't hung it yet but I have no doubt, it will look stunning. It received really great ratings which I read voraciously before buying anything on line and the price for the mirror was another big factor. Don't buy a Homesense knock off, take a good look at this Canadian made Umbra!

I fell in love with this mirror online and when it arrived it had some flaws, but UMBRA did an amazing job sending a replacement. I have never experienced this kind of dedication to delivering customer satisfaction. I am in love with my space again thanks to this mirror which makes my small space so much bigger. I want to tell the world to love UMBRA as much as I do. I have many items from their Buddy collection and will always be an UMBRA fan.

The mirror is the perfect fit for our foyer. It reflects light to make the space look modern and open.

Installation was quick, just one single screw. I am a bit worried about the weight vs the anchor they supplied, will check on it regularly for the next weeks to see if it shifts. When I unpacked I was happy with how it was packaged, as it seemed well padded. However, I did notice smears across the mirror. Regular cleaning fluid, window cleaner, and vinegar on a microfiber cloth did not get it off. I did eventually clean it off with a lightly dampened magic eraser. I took off one star for that, as it actually took me longer to clean off the whole surface of these little smears than it did to drill the hole and install the mirror itself. Best to do the cleaning with it off the wall, it shakes a bit too much when using the magic eraser. I wish they had wrapped it in a plastic bag or even covered the glass with a sheet of paper within the box, as I suspect that would stop these smears from showing. I suspect it comes from rubbing against the tape inside the box.

Shipping was quick and the product was safely packaged. My one frustration is that it came with a number of glue marks, 4 minor on the face of the mirror, and two longer marks near the edge. The most significant and difficult to remove are shown in the pictures attached. It took a lot of gentle scrubbing with alcohol and a microfiber cloth to remove the glue without the risk of scratching the mirror itself. I would have returned the product if I was unable to remove the glue, however, with time and patience I was able to get it off. As others have mentioned, the mirror is big and sturdy. Due to the mounting system on the back, the top sits about 1.5 inches from the wall which is noticeable if placed in an area where the side profile is visible. I thought it might be because I hung on a hard wall hook instead of the screw supplied; however, other reviews also mention that the mirror does not sit flush to the wall and leans out from the top.

The wire mounted on the back of the mirror is positioned quite low overall, so it's really difficulty to hang the mirror flat against the wall. Instead, the top tends to tilt downwards away from the wall. Mounting the wire higher on the back would have allowed the mirror to hang flush against the wall.

It's only OK. In fast to the wall in a flimsy way and moves around a lot while I try to clean it.

I'm disappointed in this mirror. When I pay 150 euro for a mirror I expect it to be quality. It's really rubbish and spots that cannot be removed from the mirror surface. Additionally, the hanging screws provided with it are nowhere near suitable for safe mounting with the weight of this mirror. Sending it back for a refund is way to much trouble so I will sell it or donate it and replace it something from made.com which actually sells quality. Shame on UMBRA!
