I don't know why people complained about them being big - so what, easier to slide in and out. And they're plenty thick, unless maybe you plan on holding on to your hot pan for a while, but who would? I'm glad I ignored the complaints and bought these. Seller was misleading, My hands were very hot, when I took cookies out of 350 degrees when seller said they were thick enough to withstand 500 degrees. MISLEADING !!!
