UNCLE MIKE'S BRAND AS USUAL FIRST CLASS.
I CHOSE TO DRILL THE MOUNTING HOLES ON THE LEFT SIDE TO MY 10/22 RUGER IN A MANNER SIMILAR TO THE WW2/KOREAN WAR MILITARY CARBINES. WORKS FINE AND SLING IS GENERALLY OUT OF THE WAY WHEN TARGET SHOOTING OR PLINKING. UNCLE MIKES PRODUCTS MEANS QUALITY.

Pack 'em up! Move 'em out!
The Ruger 10/22 rifle shortcomings are few but the lack of a swivel system is surely one. Uncle Mike's 1461-2QD 1"swivel kit is certainly the "fix". If you are using the rifle in the field, a sling is a critical feature that frees-up the hands of the hunter and provides both safety and and easy carry. The addition of a sling also provides additional support for off-hand shooting and the need for support sticks. First thing to do after you get a 10/22...........takes less than 15 minutes to install with common home tools.
