Had a similar product in my old truck and my buddy always loved it, got him this for his birthday and he uses it everyday to keep his tool for work in and loves how he can either keep it in the truck or take out the whole unit and bring it where he needs it on site. I did Notice the parts are a little heavy duty than the competitors branded swing case.
Frankly, this has been better than I expected. Installation was super easy, and it holds all the “emergency gear” I carry for my truck (cleared out the stuff under my back seat). Since I've only had it a couple months, I'm not sure of durability, but I think it will be great.
Must-have for any truck owner! Installation was super easy—took me less than 10 minutes per side with basic tools. The SwingCase makes great use of space over the wheel wells and keeps everything organized and easily accessible. It swings out smoothly, locks securely, and still works perfectly with my tonneau cover. Highly recommend!
Items took me almost 5 minutes to install. My god it was easy and even some one who isn't real handy could install the boxes. My only critique would be that they could be longer with the room to the wheel well. But other that that I am every satisfied.
I love the swing box . It is a very nice product. The installation was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. If my arms were a little bit bigger I wouldn't have been able to install it and would have had the holes already drilled per the instruction,so make sure you have access to the inside of the bed behind your taillight to install mounting hardware. I had to remove my tailgate shock on my Toyota Tunder and then I could still barely reach the furthest mounting hardware for installation.
I received my swing case and installed it in under an hour. Great addition to my truck bed to store some necessary tools ad supplies. I had tried a soft tool carrier but there was no way to fasten it reliably. This works great and I still have use of the built-in side compartments.
Installation didn't go well. Installed it per directions and YouTube video's. Issue I had was I couldn't release it. Nor could adjusting the mounting latch help plus trying to release it once it was engaged. I ended up doing some manual adjustment (bending) to the interior latch in order to get it to release. Everything was installed per the directions. And there is no changing it once it's mounted.
I've owned these B4, so getting them again on a NEW truck was a no-brainer! No the most "secure" (plastic) as a person would really like, but installed with a "secure" and lockable retractable truck bed they work great!! Highly recommend for additonal hidden storage in your truck box.
While cutting away portions of the truck bed liner proved very doable, removing the tiedown anchor to turn it upside down was impossible. After stripped screw heads and ruined drill bits and extractor, I simply raised the hinge off the bed floor 1 3/8 inches. Perfect!
Installation of this only requires two brackets. I followed the instructions perfectly had a heck of a time trying to get it aligned perfectly. Also, the releasing rod was too long from the factory. I had to grind it down with my grinder to get it to work. Frustrating for a $200 product.
