Great scanner.
I'm very happy with this scanner. I live in a rural area and it picks up local dispatch for fire and rescue, as well as the state department of transportation. I like that I don't have to program this scanner.

Check Your Area Before Buying
I am a newbie to scanners. A firechief recommended this scanner. Ordered it and did not realize that it was no good for our area. Police and fire in our area have gone digital and this is an analog. Due to a hospital stay I am beyond the return time so I am stuck with another toy I cannot use. Before you order this make sure you can use it. Why are they still making analog with almost nearly all have gone digital!

Did not like, was NOT easy to use.
I returned lt, we could not program this scanner. Even a friend who works at a store that sells more expensive ones could not program it. Was very disappointed!
