I'm glad I can afford it. Thanks to you for the discount now I need another one so I won't have to move it around in the house. I have not programed it yet, but I like it and hope it works well.
Bought for primarily a weather radio. The scanner features are a plus. Easy to mount and comes with two types of antennas. Uniden is a very dependable brand.
This scanner is ideal for me, since I listen casually, and only to analog transmissions (such as aircraft). It is compact (which is just what I was looking for). The display is bright, and easy to read. I had no difficulties at all programming frequencies into the private bank. The main body (except for the front panel) is metal (I thought the entire body would be all plastic). The price I paid for this bundle is amazing! Had I bought the scanner alone, it would've cost about $35 MORE than buying the scanner and the external speaker bundle. The external speaker is also sturdy. It is wedge-shaped, and can be placed on a table, shelf, etc. The volume on it is comparable to the scanner's speaker. If using the scanner in a motor vehicle, you would need a louder speaker.
This is q great scanner once you understand how to run it. This isn't a direct entry scanner. In order to program a channel, you must go to that freq then choose where to put it. It's easy once you understand. I think this was to keep it a compact radio.
Just what I have been looking for a scanner that picked up all the channels that old scanner didn't. thanks Walmart. It also had a good price.
small but works like the bigger ones! Great price.
Great little scanner, Uniden makes great products . I bought this scanner after my old handheld scanner died. The price was half of what other websites offered and includes a nice little speaker.
It's a good scanner with wide frequencies options to search, brings everything you need to be connected in your car or home. The only cons is you must know which channels to scan during different hours and locations. It's time consuming because channels may change from one state to another.
I've owned a few scanners before. but this one. doesn't really pick-up very we'll at all. I've even owned the same brand but in a bigger size an it worked really well. this one I would say, if you don't live right in a well built up area. don't waste your money. go with the larger scanners.are the hand held model. If all you want is the weather an about 3 other freq.then this one will work.
This thing is a piece of junk! If the local departments use a frequency that is not preprogramed into this POJ, you cannot listen to them, and you cannot program the required frequency into it! Basically, it is not worth a dime! I don't believe that Walmart would even sell the lowbrow junk to their customers! If I could rate it below a 1, I'd give it a triple 000!
