Uniden Compact Mobile CB Radio with PA

Great little radio. Matched it with a HGM75 power Mic. Works as well as the big radios with all the bells and whistles. Remember to also get a good antenna to go with it and set SWR.

my dad ordered me this radio a few days before thanksgiving. the day after thanksgiving it arrived. I Immediately ran down to my shop and two hours later I had my dads amtron99 hooked up and with a 10' coax ran it to the radio five minutes later i was talking too a guy 20 to 23 miles away he said i was loud and clear he could not belive i was on 7w

I first bought the cobra CB that every Walmart has...I worked but found when I got close to another vehicle with a CB I could not hear them. It frustrated me, especially since the purpose was to use this radio off roading and on trails....I then took it back and bought this uniden CB and what a big difference in sound and quality! This is an awesome radio that keeps going!

I need a CB to monitor traffic on my long distance commute. At first I purchased the cobra CB that every Walmart carries and discovered the poor performance. After some research I discovered the Uniden 520XL. Great basic low cost radio. Works as well as the more expensive units. Good range, clear sound. I really like this radio. As a design engineer I like the clean well laid out look of this unit. It has RF Gain and ANL. The compact foot print allows me the hide the install within the dash of my truck. I did add a Power Mic that I purchased for the other unit. (did not help) It really gave this unit a real punch. I would recommend this unit .....Remember to also get a good antenna to go with it and set SWR.

Love this radio. had 1 before for 10yrs. sold it when I stopped truckin'. getting back into it now. this uniden is an excellent radio, and the price at Wal-Mart is on average $10 cheaper than most truckstops! shipping time was only 3days from ordering. very fast for free shipping!!!!! ordered an antenna as well, it shipped for free, but from another source, took a few more days to ship, but it arrived in 4days.

Very dependable, durable, and compact CB. Does exactly what it's supposed to do without being complicated.

I like the rf gain so as to cut down the skip and just hear about road conditions near me. I would recommend it to someone else for short range communications. It's small size is convenient in a small car.

CB radio only operated within one mile radius,no other interferences at the time of test. very clear reception within the mile and flat dead past that point. tested with two different truckers antennas.
