A caring company
I recently purchased the Dee Zee tailgate mat from real truck. When I opened the package, the installation instructions and fasteners were not included...One email to real truck had the parts here in 2 days, with a follow up email from real truck inquiring if they could bo of any other assistance. Excellant follow up on customer care.

Fits...
Nothing lined up on my 2014 RAM 1500 EXPRESS...instead of drilling holes into my tailgate, I removed the back plate that houses the locking mech and drilled holes in the mat to match that pattern and bolted it in place. Works Great and I didn't have to do anything to my tailgate!

Correct fit but didn't use on my tailgate
This mat is very thick and durable. This is a drill in mat. I could not bring myself to drill holes in my brand new truck just yet so I actually am using this matting in my Yamaha Viking SXS.

Too heavy for spring-loaded tailgate.
Rather disturbing that the mat had to be cut to fit properly and allow the tailgate to close, but not as alarming as learning after the holes were drilled and it was mounted that the additional weight on the tailgate is too much for the no-slam spring to handle. Hard lesson learned here.
