My Z Fold 6

Femi July 25, 2024

The device is great. Has all the bells and whistles. Great picture quality, more sturdy, slimmer, with many other worthwhile features. The battery life gives me concern. Maybe there's an issue with the one I got. Audio is low too. A very good device though.

Best Fold yet and a worthy successor to the 5.

DZDZ July 25, 2024

This is by far the best Fold to date. While the 5 was what I referred to as "the first production-ready out-of-beta folding phone that I'd recommend to others without hesitation", the 6 is all of that but turns the volume up to 11 on quality, fit and finish, and design language. The sharp corners and flat sides give it an elegent symmetry when folded, and the thickness is now down to the point where it feels like something like an S24 when folded closed. Proportions are perfect for an average-hand-size yser to comfortably and confidently grip and operate one handed. Unfolded, the hinge confidently snaps into place at a full 180° and makes what looks and feels like an impossibly think small tablet with barely any reminders outside of the very shallow crease that it's a foldable. Inner screen lays flatter and is more solid feeling and glass-like than ever. And the hinge is everything you loved about the excellent Fold5 hinge but with a lovely new matte finish that resists fingerprints and smudges very well. And the new matte black bezel really blends nicely with the frame. Overall while the 1 and 2 were interesting proofs of concept, the 3 blew our minds with the s-pen support, 4 brought great battery life, 5 was a refinement combining the best of the 3 and 4 in a thonner and lighter package, the Fold 6 is a masterpiece and the ultimate iteration of this design to date in nearly every way.

We're still calling it a phone?!

The Dude September 27, 2024

Great phone! While folded, I love the "narrow" screen and have zero issues texting on it. Unfolded, the extra screen space makes multitasking enjoyable, nonetheless, the various abilities to quickly blend other apps into workflow or media indulging. Icing on the cake is the AI's are there when you want them and not intrusive. AND, the OS customizations are fantastic.

Great phone

Dustin August 9, 2024

**Subject: Feedback on New Device** I've been using the new device for a while now, and I'm very happy with the improvements. It's noticeably lighter than the previous model I owned. This makes it much more comfortable to hold and use for extended periods. The overall design and materials also feel more premium. It's clear that a lot of attention was paid to detail. I'm very pleased with the upgrade.

It's an upgrade, but not as much as it should be

jmhinkle July 27, 2024

I moved from the Fold4 to Fold6. There are significant improvments between the two. The biggest being the ability to swap between open and closed screens. The Fold4 sucked at this and reset whatever you were looking at between the two. It acted as two completely different phones from little to big screen and back. The fold 6 does not. It clearly and smoothly swaps between front and inner screens without issue. The next biggest difference is smoothness of the UI. The fold4 was always a bit jerky, while the 6 is super smooth and crystal clear. Lowlights are screen size. What they claim in difference is negligable in hand. Honestly, the 6 feels smaller than the 4 for the wrong reasons. It needs to be 1/2" taller and wider when closed from the current size to be the right sized phone. Also, I don't welcome the squared edges, because they are sharp and uncomfortable to hold. I do like the faux carbon fiber of the black color this year. Still wish there was a gray model with the carbon look. Battery is identical, but drains faster on the 6. Great phone if you are coming to a foldable, but not much change if you are upgrading. Enough for 4 to 6, but probably not 5 to 6.

Best phone i ever had

Danny G July 27, 2024

I love it. I upgraded from the fold 4 and it's a huge jump. It's so much faster and lighter. The screen is way better and more responsive. I'd suggest getting a case that has hinge protection because I've broken my inside screen a few times from dropping it.

Was never sold on "Foldable" phones until now!

OniKyanAE86 September 10, 2024

I have been a Note user up to the Note20 Ultra 5G and was (still) very disappointed that Samsung got rid of this series. The addition to of the Z Fold series looked interesting to me, but the longevity of a folding screen has kept me away. After finally seeing that it's now in it's 6th generation, I finally decided to give it a try and ordered one. I have to say that it's pretty amazing. It feels like you have two devices in one, a regular phone when closed and by opening it up you then have a mini tablet. Only wish that it had a built-in stylus and memory card storage expansion.

Good job!

joey July 25, 2024

When I got this phone, I thought it was great, thinner than I thought, especially after opening it, like holding a tablet! The hints are still more obvious, especially in the sun, but within the acceptable range; to say an unacceptable place, the camera, is worse than my s23u, especially telephoto and wide angle. Overall, acceptable, hopefully the next generation of upgraded cameras

More work to do basic functions.

lilpilgrim July 25, 2024

Main complaint! Forcing me to use Google for texting and other applications. Not good. Give us a choice in our phones. It takes 4 step to get to my gallery from texting someone. It should be one step. It should have one step to get to the contacts info from texting.it takes two steps now. Video meeting should be neutral and not with Google meet. When I do voice to text (google) it sends the message twice

Feels good to use, but not worth the price

Anonymous October 4, 2024

I enjoyed using the large display and was impressed by the speakers and screen brightness. Unfortunately, the battery life is simply too short. I easily ran through 130% of the battery daily, something which never happened on my previous phone. At this price point, I can't recommend this phone for anyone that cares about battery life.
