The kayak rack is very easy to assemble and is very compact considering it needs to hold three kayaks. The material is outstanding and very thought out. The instructions however are very vague as to where you place the support racks because if you try to count the drill holes in the picture you will find that the vertical support bar has 23 drill holes, but the actual piece has 21 drill holes. It appears they have shortened the uprights by about four inches which would have added additional support to the top kayak
As advertised . Assembly was simple and the instructions straightforward. The fit and finish of parts was good and fit together well. The completed stand is easy to use and sturdy. (It has already demonstrated its design and structure durability in winds exceeding 25 mph.) Note that my use does not involve significant movement or vibration of the vessels and thus does not require much padding (a topic for which comment was requested). The rubber strips for padding the arms are marginal, but for me not important. (I want wet plastic toys to slide easily into place.) The intended use here is not for transport but static storage.
Easy for one person to assemble. Surprisingly sturdy. Not as tall as I thought it would be (%26 I love that!). Easily adjustable arms. Very happy with this item.
This does the trick for a kayak rack in our yard. It looks so much better than on the ground and keeps the dirt away. Assembly was super easy. Sturdiness is good rather than exceptional as to be expected for price.
This kayak rack is heavy duty and we loaded it with 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. We have it in our basement concrete room and it provides organization for these lake toys.
Easy to assemble but came in more pieces than we expected. Directions were clear. My high school boys put it together in less than 30 minutes. Holds heavy kayaks well.
I am very pleased with the stand. It came well packaged. It was easy to put together. I put it together by myself ( I am a senior citizen female) using my own wrench.. I have two, 10 foot kakaks on it that I purchased from Walmart. I purchased the 3 kayak stand, so I would have some 'vertical poles' to help keep them on the stand since they are on a dock. I was going to use metal straps across the bottom supports in case of high winds, but it seems so sturdy and solid with the kayaks. I dont feel there's a need now. Highly recommend!
The padding on the arms are held in place by adhesive. However the adhesive isn't strong enough to stay in place. The weight of the kayak slides the padding down the arm and then padding falls off the arm.
The only problem I have is the rubber stick in strips don't really stay put or they grab the kayak to much when you take them on and off the rack. Had to order some self stick felt which I think will work better! We shall see!
If you can't blow up the pictures on your phone, or are not mechanically inclined, this isn't for you. This product comes with ZERO directions. Other than that, it's a good product.
