First of all, I'm an extra class radio armature. I have a friend who want to get in the hobby. for the price I've purchase the Multi Bands Shortwave Radio with 2.4'' Color Touch Screen FM AM SSB LW. it has a touch screen. You can use your figures to tap the buttons to navigate the settings, and or use a probe stick to select the settings. it has AM radio 540-1800 kilocycles, FM radio 88-107 Mhz, and Citizen Band radio frequence 27 Mhz. It also has shortwave bands, and all the ham operator frequencies. The speaker audio power level is very good fidelity to be so small. to really enjoy the SW and Ham bands from 3.0 Mhz to 30 Mhz you would need an external outside antenna. Remove the BNC antenna and get an adapter with PL-259 connector to an outside (dipole) antenna to listen to short wave band around the world, and amateur operators from long distance.
