I bought this power meter to keep track of how much electricity my appliances use, and it has been very helpful. The screen is bright and easy to read, even in low light. I like that it shows different measurements like watts, volts, amps, and energy usage, so I can get a clear picture of power consumption. The controls are simple, and switching between the display modes is quick. It feels well made, works accurately, and has been a useful tool for lowering energy waste around my home.

This is a pretty cool device to show how much electric an item is drawing. Has many features to set and you can put in your cost of electric from your bill to see exactly what each item is costing on a daily or monthly basis. Can handle up to 1800 watts. I like it for costing out window AC use. Has a backlit display making it easy to read. Digits are large enough for anybody to see

Very Handy

Viking2Striking March 26, 2026

This is a very handy object. It’s easy operation and set up and if unplugged it doesn’t loose what electric use you’ve already recorded unless you reset it . It doesn’t take batteries so I gave it o e star for battery life . But is made well does have a three prong plug on it . Can take up to a three prong also . If you set the price per kWh it will figure up a total dollar amount for the reading. Pretty handy to know what your appliances are using .

Excellent tool for monitoring energy output..

Anonymous March 9, 2026

I was very pleased to receive the 2 pack meters, I needed for the house, and the other is for my skoolie rv, I'm in the process of installing 3 solar panels on my bus, it is an 1800 watt system, so this is a much needed tool to monitor my energy output..

Handy watt meter

ffkatie March 10, 2026

This is a handy watt meter to measure energy consumption. It not only measures watts, but keeps track of total energy usage, voltage, amps, and can even calculate cost of running your appliance if you program it. This comes with a small extension cord. This is handy for solar system users or RVers camping using an inverter. It even comes with an overload protection feature. While the instructions are handy, many of the screens are intuitive.

A must have for every household!

Tommy March 9, 2026

This thing is so cool! It could easily pay for itself by informing you of where you need to make some electricity usage adjustments. I was hoping the amperage would display decimal places, unlike what was shown in the picture when I got mine. I does in fact show decimal places. I have included a picture from the instruction manual I received. The manual is thorough enough and easy to understand. The amp gauge will read down to .5 amp, which is well into the range of battery powered devices and well below anything to be concerned with for what this is used for. I tested mine on different outlets and was getting different voltages from different outlets. If I remember right, it was from 118 to 126 volts on what I "though" should all be around 120. This was something new to me. Another thing I found interesting is that my 14 watt hot glue gun starts out at a significantly higher wattage when it is cold. It slowly goes down as it heats up. Knowing the amps can help you not overload a circuit. My air fryer was running at around 11 amps, which was higher than I realized. If you had 2 air fryers on a 20 amp circuit, you could easily trip a breaker or blow a fuse. (If fuses still exist in homes today.) The Item does state there is a small margin of error for the readings. I didn't check to see how accurate mine was, but given the low margin stated, (like -2%), I don't see that will matter much. If you are concerned about it, just add 2% to your reading to get what "should" be the maximum. They seem to be very durable and should last. I got the 2 pack, just because I thought it was a good deal. I also have a loaner if a family member or friend wants to check something. For me this will not be used full time. I will only use it long enough to get a good idea of how much electricity something is using. I will also use it to see how many amps something is using if I have several higher powered devices on the same circuit. This is a good item for any household. It can help you in several ways. If you read the description it does allow you to program your electricity rate in. I have not done that yet. I know my electricity bill used to have it listed. If yours doesn't, you should be able to call your electric company and ask them what your rate is per kilowatt hour.

A Must-Have To See Where Your Electric $ Is Going!

Len March 5, 2026

I highly recommend this! Very easy to use. Operation is as simple as plugging it into the wall and then plugging something int it, like a TV or fridge or computer. It displays the amount of power that item consumes over time. You can program it to the local power codes so it displays down to the penny. Reading it is simple and the controls are straightforward. I like that you can set the backlight to stay on for anywhere from 10 minutes at a time to having it lit up 24/7, which is nice when using something that uses a lot of power so you can easily keep an eye on the power consumption. I'm ordering several of these because they are so inexpensive.

Where is Your Energy Going

Theresa March 16, 2026

Plug this in the wall, then plug your appliance into this meter. It's that simple! This is a good tool to see where you are wasting energy in your home.

This is bigger than I expected. I'm planning to use it on portable DC to AC battery inverters, so something about 2/3 this size would be better. Still, given the included power cord pigtail, it does what I'm looking for. The size does make reading the screen and using the buttons easier. That is a major plus.

Good Unit, But...

anonymous August 13, 2026

Generally a good unit, but missing a peak wattage feature. I should have read the technical description a bit more carefully. If you have a computer or similar setup and are trying to size a UPS, make sure to get a power meter with a peak wattage feature. If you're just trying to identify average power usage, this meter is perfect.
