This was the best Christmas gift for our kid. It was very easy to put together for someone who DIY's a lot. The workmanship is very great, it captures all the minute details very well. It rides well with just 4 x AA batteries; the whistle and steam features works very well, too! The only minus is that the package was missing a Y-shape connector for the train tracks.
Nice train for our Christmas display. The only complaint is the placement of the off and on switch, very small and in a difficult place to access. Even if it was a different color than the train body it would have helped. It is hard to turn off when the train was running without derailing the train

Everything worked as expected it was just too small I had to lay on the floor to turn it on
