All of the meatless mixes are very tasty and easy to use. I mix with ground meat to make a double amount and reduce thr fat anf caloties of each portion.
But, this was darn good. I'm not vegan or vegitarian or any of those, but I do feel good about having the occasional meatless meal - if it tastes good. No sacrifice here. Putting together a blend yourself is easy enough so one doesn't necessarily need this, but it's delicious and super convenient. It's a bit more than I'd normally spend for a one-and-done item, but I had a discount code and it was on sale. Now I won't hesitate to order more. I bought a variety of Urban Accent products and added them to family Christmas presents to share the love. They were very well received!
it's simply delightful, when you try this be open to something that isn't restaurant quality. however, it brings to mind, home experiment and might lead to opening the pallet to experimentation for more and different. isit a yum, you bet'cha.
I made it and at the time I was not sure, but I added in my veggies first to cook them and added water then I put in the crumbles and soya sauce. I thought it was pretty good. It made about 4-5 servings with rice and it lasted in the fridge and also was quite tasty. Not sure I'd get it again but it was pretty good.
I love this sm when I want something quick. It's not anything special, but it'll satisfy your taste buds in a jiffy if you like asian flavours.
...I gave it a try, although I'm not vegeterian. I used it as suggested, added some paprika with onions to saute. It was not a strong flavour before I added soy sauce, but once added it made a really tasty dish. Easy to digest and subtle flavors of black garlic. I might order it again in the future.
Textures soy protein with spice mix, easy preparation and tasty result. BUT note that this spice mix has 3 types of sugar on the 3rd, 4th and 6th places of ingredient list. Wish I see this before buying) For a one-time treat it's ok but I won't buy this again, "sweet taco" option from the same brand is better
This plant based diet mincemeat was easy to use. Just add hot water and oil. Then let it sit for a while and then sauté it. Taste amazing. Great for tacos, as salad toppings or even fried rice. Portions enough for 4 servings.
I typically love this brand's plant based meals but this one is my least favorite. If you follow the instructions (which I always do at least when you first buy it) it is SALTY. Almost to the point of being inedible. However, if you add more toppings (fermented veggies, pixie de gallo, cilantro, etc.) it will cut down on the salt. My advice is to add either half the amount of soy sauce or omit it altogether.
Not my favourite, I added vegetables and soy sauce because the granules are quite bland. The fact that the packet needs water to reach the right consistency might make the "mince" a bit too soggy so I added beetroot juice and simmered it for a while. Still, ended up tasting only alright.
