I suffer from hormonal acne due to PCOS which also leaves me prone to hyperpigmentation. I was advised by my dermatologist that a mineral sunscreen was best for minimizing the darkening of post acne scars. So I went on the hunt to find a reasonably priced mineral product that wasn't ridiculously priced and wouldn't turn my peanut butter brown skin to marshmallow white. I heard great things about the Urban Rx line, so I purchased the sample kit which included a trial size of the sunscreen. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no cast. It felt light and refreshing on my skin and most importantly didn't worsen my acne issues. I'm now on my 3rd full size bottle. While I still have some stubborn spots I'm still battling, my skin has improved significantly since I started using Urban Rx. This sunscreen will remain part of my daily routine for as long as it remains on the market without any changes.
i love this i really do its helpful keep the vitamin e in it
Very surprised with how much I really like this moisturizer! Its actually a fairly thin moisturizer, comes out white. However doesn't stay white on the face. Once on, it does add a little tint of bronzer to the face with a nice little glow. It soaks right in and DOES NOT leave that icky white cast on your face. I have worn this moisturizer alone and under makeup and it does very well with both applications. Great SPF and moisturizer in one, so for me, that's been a little difficult to find. I feel every time I combine the two my makeup or seum pills off. Not with this one, definitely different. Much better than other higher prestige brands ive used in the past. Overall, great experience with this complexion moisturizer. Definitely recommend!
I absolutely love this product. I received it as a free product to try and I used it everyday. I have this product from SKIN that your supposed to mix in with your daily moisturizer so I would mix some of it in with the complexion protection moisturizer and then rub the two mixed products onto my face with my my facial roller and they worked very well together. I will definitely be purchasing this product from now on as it will be my new daily moisturizer from now on until a better one comes along, not sure if thats possible though. And I will be promoting this product on social media and will recommend to family and friends.
Most sunscreens go on very thick and leave white streaks. This goes on nice and smooth and my skin feels moisturized and so soft without any streaks. It smells great as well! I like the pump top so just the right amount comes out. I received this sample for free, but I've been on the hunt for a good sunscreen for years, and this one is definitely one I would buy again.
My favorite
I received this product for free to test and give my honest review. I really liked the packaging, as well as the size of the product. It did have a scent (as most SPFs do), but did not irritate my skin. It left my face feeling smooth and soft. No white residue and absorbed well! I also like that it has hyaluronic acid, squalane, and vitamin E to assist in a more even skin tone.
The Urban skin RX Melanin Experts Complexion Protection Moisturizer with SPF 30 is made to tone, hydrate, and protect all skin types. I used this over my normal skincare, including serums and a moisturizer. It did not experience any adverse reactions while using this, but I do not have overly sensitive skin. I used this on top of my normal moisturizer, because I tend to have dry skin to begin with. It is definitely a great all in one SPF, moisturizer, and skincare option. I love that it includes hyaluronic acid, Squalane, and vitamin E since these are great ways to improve skin appearance and add moisture. My skin soaked this up decently, and it did not sit on top of my face or leave an unpleasant white cast like some sunscreen does. I will definitely use this a lot in the summertime, especially on those days that I am planning to wear less makeup, and spend more time outdoors. My only real dislike is the scent. I would prefer something more scent free or even a slightly lighter scent, but it's not terrible either. Overall, it's a really great, and affordable option that I would recommend trying. * I received this as a complimentary sample in exchange for my honest opinion.*
I was gifted the urban skin RX complexion moisturizer to test out. I love that it has SPF 30 in it. A higher SPF in the summer would be better but 30 isn't bad at all. It is a light weight moisturizer and absorbs nicely. Helps out with my dry skin. I did not try it with makeup over it. That's only because I haven't been anywhere that I need makeup on.
I really wanted to like this moisturizer partly because Ive been looking for a great daily morning moisturizer with a high SPF Content and I heard really great things about this moisturizer but when I tried it multiple times under different circumstances I seemed to constantly run into issues with it. No matter the way that I approached it, applied my serums prior, and no matter how long I waited before applying the next product I ended up having it peel on me or peel up on me and create these little extra pieces of product that made it hard for me to apply my make up afterwords. It was even hard to apply it and to just leave it make up free because I would find little balls of the product throughout the day on my face and thats some thing that I didnt really like and had people point out. Honestly I have very pale skin and this is made for more melanin producing skin and perhaps that was the main issue for me but I feel like it would be a similar issue for POC as well. As much as I wanted to love it I dont as much as I wanted to love it I dont think I would recommend it or buy it again.
