I waited months for this stroller to be back in stock! My daughter was out growing her infant seat and the new laws require child to be rear-facing till age two. the petal car seat hold infants and toddlers till 35 lbs so should still fit her when she's about two. I didn't want to buy a convertible car seat, i like going from infant rear facing to forward facing toddler. Side note: parents beware when purchasing any infant seat it something to consider! check the side label and make sure it goes up to 30ish lbs if not you'll be stuck purchasing a convertible car seat unless you have kids that are in the 90th percentile you should be ok for the first two years of the childs life with this stroller. of course as others have mentioned its easy to assemble and comes in a variety of stylish colors. the parent handle bar is padded, plush and so comfy and its adjustable in 3/4 positions to accommodate parents' height. I'm 5'5 and push it comfortably as does my 6' husband, and my 3' toddlers enjoy pushing their baby sister as well. there is no snack/drink tray for either parent or child the storage underneath is not as big as i'm used to but big enough for a diaper bag and then some. They should have made the baskets' back side with an elastic edge so that it could expand at least a little. but no complaints from me! the wheels are small and regular, i really wanted big wheels but then it wouldn't be so compact when it came time to fold, and also if you compare to an uppababy vista the wheels are about the same size--and you are paying like $400 more for that one. Regardless, i am amazed at how well they do on these ancient urban sidewalks, the mall, the grass, and over playground mulch! dont let the wheels fool you, take it for a spin (literally), you will be impressed! The car seat snaps into the frame easily but you have to use two hand to remove it to place the car seat back in the car seat base. there is a 2 button system for it. you click on button one, then click on button two then pull upwards to remove it from the frame. the toddler seat CAN switch into bassinet mode and bassinet mode--> toddler seat mode WITH the child IN IT!! I was concerned about that I mean if my child falls asleep sitting can i easily switch to bassinet mode? or would i have to remove the child switch modes? then put child back in? i mean that defeats the purpose, disturbs the child, and not to mention its a pain in the neck and back! so I was ecstatic to find out that I could easily recline my sleeping child and switch to bassinet mode!! as long as the child is belted its safe. The stitching on the child handlebar is a little "homemade" but the versatility and functionality make up for it. The car seat is lightweight so when you carry it with the baby you are practically just carrying the baby weight. and i love that i never have to carry it far, just snap it into my light weight frame! awesome! Also when packing the stroller away, to get a compact fold you have to be in "bassinet mode". and its a two hand fold, it took me a couple tries to figure it out, but now its pretty easy to do. Finally...I know you cant see the writing on the car seat base after it is installed in the vehicle but I thought I'd mention it because my husband totally loves the fact that "urbini" is written on the base, according to him it adds class to the seat just in case you ever display your car seat base to someone? lol
The travel system has all features that I would ask for. Only one remark; the car seat is not convenient for a new born with the safety harness and the supporting sides.
My one issue with it is the clipping seat feature that changes the bassinet to a seated position and that's only because I have a heavier child other than that it is comparable to most high end strollers. I have a big 8 month old she is 25 pounds and she is also long but she still fits this bassinet with room. It comes with a car seat that holds up to 35 pound. HOW GREAT IS THAT. This is definitely a must buy. This is my third and last stroller unless I buy another one in a different color ( I purchased the pink one).
I have been using the stroller for 2 months now. I really like it. I was looking for inexpensive pram stroller, because from experience with my older children I know once baby is 6-9 months I'll be will be using a lightweight stroller more often, and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a pram that I will use less then a year. However this stroller can be used well into childhood up to 50lbs. Pros: It's a pram and a seat in one It is rear facing and forward facing Large canopy with built in extension and peek-a-boo window Adjustable handle for different height parents. Is not heavy for a full size stroller Compact fold Cons: Basket is small compared to other strollers I had No cup holder Does not fold in rear facing position Difficult to convert bassinet into a seat Solutions I have found for listed Cons: Basket does fit a diaper bag, for other things/bags I use The Mommy Hook Lack of cup holder was solved by Britax Stroller Organizer, it fits perfect on the handle. Because I am using the stroller bassinet only in rear facing position, I take the bassinet out, fold the stroller, place it in the trunk and set the bassinet on top, very compact and does not take up too much room. As for converting into a seat, I have not had the need to do that yet. Overall it's a great stroller for the price, would definitely recommend to a friend and already have done so.
This was a Gift. I saw this travel system at Walmart here in Las Vegas, the Gift was sent to Avalon, California. What I like about the OMNI travel system is the fact that it has a sturdy back, it also doesn't leave the child legs hanging, it's a bassinet as well. I feel that the bassinet is a little and needs more padding. Car seat come with (2) two sizes, a Preemie and Norman. This give you more value as well with the different size, child can grow into. Colors are great, but the base (which is Black) need to soften up on the color or introduce mix and match colors. The one I sent was Purple.
We really like the urbini it's very convenient for traveling n fast to assemble. YOU can also switch the carseat for the bassinet very easily. The only thing I wish it had was a cup holder for the baby bottle or my drink.
I love how stylish this stroller is but I wish that I hadn't been swept off my feet with it. It seems really unsteady and the wheels are plastic and flimsy. I am highly disappointed that I cannot pick up the carseat like other brands will allow (By handle) if you carefully read through the booklet it says not to, and that handle bar seems really cheap and flimsy as well! That's going to be hectic being that I have to walk up and down stairs to my apartment and holding the baby in the carseat by its side seems like it'll be really difficult. I would think twice before buying this stroller and carseat unless you're just buying the stroller... it's not worth the headache and it doesn't specify that on this website before you buy it.
The car seat and stroller are very nice looking but it does not have a cup holder/key holder like most strollers and the car seat is not able to sit on a grocery cart, very scary! It doesn't come with instructions/directions, yes it's easy to put together but I don't know how to make the child sit up?! Also taking the car seat out of the car from the base is a little pain too... Wish you could return after using it a couple days to find out it doesn't work out for you :/
I am a patient consumer. I'll give things a look more than once before I buy it, however, I did not expect such a HORRIBLE stroller. With the birth of my very last baby I wanted to buy all the neat baby things before I don't get chance to. I thought this stroller would be a great buy because my little one could look at me while we walked around the park. I had so many uses for this stroller, but beginning with the complicated two handed method to close the stroller and ending with the squeaky wheels, I have no use for it. It has sat on my front porch for the last six months or so. To close the stroller one must press a button and pull a button on each side. This takes both hands. I have literally sat my baby in the hatch of my van while breaking down the stroller. Completely inconvenient and I feel the responsibility to let others know. If you want a nice, smooth strolling stroller, spring for a McClaren because this is a total waste, a piece of junk. I wish I could get my money back! Worst baby purchase EVER!!!! The wheels barley turn, even if we're just going forward! I DISLIKE THIS STROLLER WITH A PASSION!
I liked the style and idea of the carseat but it is not functional. My son is 13 pounds and barely fits in the carseat. The straps are not long enough so i have had to buy a new carseat already!!! The stroller wheels get stuck all the time when pushing it. The basket underneath is too small for a diaper bag. No cup holders. Difficult to snap carseat in and out of the carseat stroller base. I bought this carseat because of its cool design and read reviews and they all seemed ok but now that i have actually used this system i can say that it was a complete waste of money. I only got to use it for 2 months because the carseat straps wont fit my son anymore and you are suppose to be able to use the carseat to 30 pounds thats impossible!! So disapointed. Dont be fooled and get sucked in by its cool design buy a different system.
