You may find adapters for a little less that don't include the extra port for charging, but you'll be glad you chose this one! If you are using the adapter to connect headphones to your phones that don't have a 3.5mm port, then you xan still charge the phone with THIS product at the same time. Very pleased with this item.

Though I haven't tried charging my phone, the headphones adapter works great. Sound is crisp and clear. So far, so good.

This is the best option for those who don't have ear buds or won't use them. it allows you to listen to whatever you need to on your phone, plus keep your phone charged at the same time.

It does what it's supposed to. However, when charging from my car's cigarette lighter/charger connection, I heard an electrical whir. I could hear it worse each time I had to accelerate. When I switched to my personal charging brick, the sound disappeared. Sound quality might be affected by the make/model/year of your car and/or the quality of the aux cable attached to the other port.

I bought the headset and adapter for my phone. The adapter cannot plug into my phone because the plug is to big. I will have to find something else that will work.

I have it plugged in my car, works fine, sounds great! BUT the charging isn't really fast as I thought it would be (it's not my charger or my car charger thingy, because without this adapter, it's super fast!) And as for calling, it does not work and I can't be heard, so I still have to use my speaker, which sucks. Overall, the sound is good, charging is good for keeping the battery level steady, but if you're expecting fast charging, it's not happening. If you call you have to use the speaker or to ear.

Used this every other night for about a month and it just got so hot it seriously burned my hand. Thank goodness I was holding my phone and hadn't set it down to sleep yet because it absolutely would have started a fire! Both opposing ends were blazing hot. It was plugged in about 3-5 minutes before doing this and it hadn't done this before. It was securely plugged into the iPhone and the iPhone power cord and I had to suffer grabbing it out to detach before it started a fire it heated up so fast all of a sudden! This is NOT SAFE!
