I got this to be able to connect my headphones to my computer after the auxiliary port broke on my laptop. It works great and the sound quality is good.
It worked straight away for my purpose, one of those cheaper corded gaming headsets that Steel Series makes with a 3.5mm jack to use on a PC. No issues at all, Windows 11 immediately recognized it both on the input and output. Zero loss in audio quality for either. The only reason you might want to get a different one, is if you want the adapter to also serve as an extension cable. It's short, and just does its job.
The round headphone jack on my HP Mini quit working, so this adapter was a very quick fix. Very happy with purchase and quick delivery.
Easy plug and play. Quality feels solid. I have three weeks of use in and no problems.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the device worked with an earbud headset with a common plug for microphone and headphones. I expected it to work with headphones, which it did. The microphone/earbud headset operation wea an added bonus!
I'm using this adapter to connect my computer's rear USB port to my external speakers so that I can hear audio. This adapter does not allow audio and I'm wondering what type of internal DAC it has, or even if it has one. The description is confusing or maybe I don't know what I'm doing. But is well built.
Out of the package, they didn't work. I called and complained. They sent me two more right out of the package piece of junk didn't work. I'll never buy them again from walmart.com.
