Does the job as described.
I had an old heart rate monitor that connected via serial port to an old desktop computer. This cable allowed me to connect directly to my laptop's USB port. Installation from the CD was easy. Then a reboot. Then I plugged in the cable and it did exactly what I'd hoped for. Only issue I had was that there are screw receptors on either side of the serial port. I hacksawed them off (pretty easily). This saved me hundreds of dollars from not having to buy a new heart rate monitor, so I'm VERY pleased with it.
