I bought a few rolls of duct tape to use for packing and moving because we got annoyed with the clear tape. We did not have any problems with it sticking to anything. I wondered if the people that complained about the tape they bought not sticking if it had been stored or shipped in extreme heat that messed up the adhesive before they bought it.
I just needed some more duct tape and about the cheapest I could get this time cuz you know how it is out there, because of the duct work was never fixed where I rent and I cover the vents with tape cuz it's a real old trailer and I don't want bugs coming up through the vents you know what I mean because there's holes and stuff in the ductwork, we just do what we got to do what's the name of this it just duct tape brand
I don't think this is as good as it used to be. Maybe I've just used better since I last used the Duck brand but....it's not really easy to tear and the strings easily come out and make a bit of a sticky mess. Adherence may be about the same but the stringy leads me not to recommend.
OK I'm not a duct tape expert so this might be my mistake in choosing the wrong type... It feels thinner than others I've had. Also I cannot tear it off. I have to use scissors to cut it, which makes some tasks hard when ya only have 2 hands lol. Regardless, it's doing its job. Used it to reinforce cardboard boxes for donations. Held an entire stoneware service for 8 dish set that I could barely lift. The tape is taping.
Very lightweight enough that it is translucent. Tears too easily and comes off the roll in strips lengthwise. Folds over onto itself too easily.and becomes tangled. Adhesive is weak so it doesn’t stick to anything very well. Not like any duct tape I’ve ever used before. I used it to tape cardboard together and wouldn’t use it on anything I didn’t want to come apart.
Not very sticky. I bought several of these tape rolls while my last litter of pups was using potty pads. I tape the edges to each other and the floor to help contain any mess. This batch of tape rolls did not stick. I was careful to only put the tape on the plastic edge of the pad-not the absorbent part, but no luck. I use a tarp under my puppy area and the tape wouldn't stick to the tarp either- even after mopping and letting it dry before resetting the puppy pads. The adhesive was not adequate at all.
this has to be a defect because it was thinner than paper didn't stick to sh¡ and I've had better dollar brands I've always loved and used the brand ducktape till this roll I'm switching to gorrilla
This tape is worthless! It won't stick to anything for more than about 30 seconds. I tried on drywall, smooth plastic, and smooth tile, and it just falls off shortly after you put it up. Very disappointing and a total waste of money. Do not buy if you need it to stick to anything. I've bought Duck brand tape for years, but this one is just junk.
Whoever is in charge of quality control is failing-still. This used to be such a great product. I had multiple rolls of Duck Brand duct tape - in my garden stuff, in my garage, in my utility room, in my camping stuff, in my truck… I stopped buying it because the quality plummeted. It doesn’t tear evenly, leaves little stringers, is so much thinner than it used to be, very weak product that doesn’t stay ‘stuck’….just garbage and it is so FRUSTRATING to use. I had switched to Gorilla brand and T-Rex also. They work great. I’m not sure why I decided to try Duck tape again. I guess I was hoping they figured out their bad decisions and decided to be a good product again. I was disappointed. Just as crappy as when I left the brand in the first place. Back to Gorilla or T-Rex for me.
This is by far the WORST duct tape I have ever used. It is NOT sticky - it won't stick to anything I put it on. It constantly "pops" off and has to be pressed back down but still does not stick. The older Duck brand tape I have was much better, but this stuff is junk. Now I have three rolls of garbage tape and no use for it. The no-name brand is heavier and stickier. The photo shows generic duct tape, old Duck tape, and the new Duck tape (left to right). It is so thin, you can see through it! Don't waste your money like I did.
