V2000 4" Hook & Eye 1pk - Zinc Plated

We are in and out that gate a lot so we wanted something a little heavier than we had. This one is very sturdy, looks great and works like it should. Makes me want to paint the gate!

I didn't want to just replace the broken piece since they would just break it again so I added the hook and eye latch for added security. It works great. They haven't broke out the house since. Also it gives me a extra feeling of security at night knowing that it would be harder for someone to try to break in my house.

It has been through snow, rain, and sun and has been doing well. It screwed into the wood well and has not loosened up at all.

The latching part latches and unlatches easily too.... It keeps closed what I needed to close and keeps out what needed to keep out...

So when I got this hook& eye latch I figured it would be perfect in this gate at the top and him opening the gate and getting out of the yard would be over. We got it out it in the gate and since then we have had no further attempts for my sons dog to escape.

It is convenient to have a way to keep the door shut without needing to unlock and lock it when it is in use throughout the day. The handle broke so it doesn't stay shut unless it is locked. So I got this latch to secure the door. It is 4 inches long. I just needed to drill two holes and screw in the loops. The hardware is solid and strong. It keeps the door shut without me needing to lock it.

This is REALLY long so keep that in mind while ordering. It was way too long for what we needed
