I was always a fan of V8 Energy for the fact that the 80mg of caffeine per can cakes from tea! Meaning, you have less of a caffeine crash, but it really does give you more steady energy. But, when I heard they came out with a zero sugar version using stevia, I WAS A HOOKED. The only thing I didn't like about the original version was that it uses Sucralose to sweeten (I'm pretty health conscious and try to be low-tox). The flavor is immaculate, and maybe it's just me, but I never had an issue with the whole “stevia-aftertaste” that you usually run into. I love this product and drink it every week!
This is not the same as the old strawberry lemon lemonade diet flavor. This is 10 times worse and I will not buy it again, I sure hope they didn't phase out the diet that I've been drinking for years with this. That would be unfortunate as I drink pretty much that strawberry lemonade, diet one exclusively for my caffeine intake, sometimes two or three of them a day.
They have ruined a good thing. I like stevia but this is not good. It tastes like the first time I had too much artificial sweetener in a drink blech. Its pink as well like the powdered version I tried while they changed it and could not find the old version. Im sad. I bought this stuff by the case practically. It was my very favorite. Shame in me for ever thinking… if they would replace the Sucralose t would be a great healthy choice. I would take the Sucralose over the chemical this tastes like. The search for my new special beverage in place of a sometimes a coke begins :(
I have been drinking the diet version of this for many years... since back when it was in blue packaging. This new "zero sugar" version does not taste the same. The diet version tasted like a yummy "healthy" juice to me. This tastes like fake sweetener yuckiness. I would drink it for free, but I will not be spending this much on caffeinated juice anymore. Please bring back the diet version.
This is NOT the same as the Diet version which was so much better tasting. I've resorted to buying the diet version at another store, but would rather get it at Walmart...please bring back the diet version.
Thinking that this was an energy drink like a carbonated energy drink. No, this is like flat crystal light in a can. The other V-8 strawberry lemonade that just says diet and not zero is delicious. This is trash.
This new zero sugar version is awful. Tastes like wet cotton candy. Way too sweet! I drank the diet version for years and it was great. Wish they'd trash this and bring that back.
I've been drinking the diet strawberry lemonade for years. Often 2-3 cans/day. This isn't the same at all. I've taken 2 sips and I'm considering pouring the rest out. Will not buy again.
In order to remove a whole 5 calories from this drink, they dropped the lemon juice from the ingredients. How can V8 call this "lemonade" if it doesn't even have lemons anymore??
The old product was SO much better!!! This leaves a bad after taste and like coats your mouth. I also think it went from 5%juice to 1%, so I'm not sure how it's even “V8”. PLEASE go back to the “diet” strawberry lemonade, it was my favorite!
