VAL RESTORE PROT FULL SYN 5W201 Q

I think the claims made by Valvoline with regard to cleaning engine deposits are the real deal for this oil. I have a 2010 Honda Accord and at about 110,000 miles it was using 1 quart of oil about every 1,000 miles. It is (was) a known issue with stuck piston oil control rings with the 2.4L engine (and also know I faithfully had my 2010 Honda oil changed at every service interval at the Honda dealerships in Central Ohio). Anyway, I found this oil, read all of the marketing fanfare, and thought I'd give it a try. First time, I only got to about 1,200 miles before the oil light started flashing, topped the oil off, got the car to ~2,000 miles and changed the oil and filter. (And, Valvoline does state that it will take more than one oil and filter change cycle.) For my second oil change, I just hit 2,300 miles, no oil lights, and no signs of it using oil. I really think if your having problems with oil consumption in a Honda Accord 2.4L 4-cylinder, you should give this oil a try. It won't be instantaneous, but I think by the time you hit the second or third oil change, you will see a big difference.

I have a 2019 CRV which uses a plain 0-20 oil at an alarming rate. I switched to this Restorative oil and it stopped consuming so much oil. Now it drops about 1/2 quart between oil changes. It's worth every penny.

Hope it's working. It's hard for the average DIY to know if this stuff is any better than any other oil; but Mr Lake Speed seems to thing it's great, so I'm trying it.

I have been using this for 3 years now and this is really an amazing oil, it cleans so well, I ran this in my engine for about 15000 miles across 4 oil changes on a 2007 mustang gt with about 260k miles on it. I pulled the valve covers to replace worn out gaskets and was surprised that the top of the head looks like brand new… wow

I recently switched to Valvoline Restore & Protect motor oil in my 2023 Toyota 4Runner, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Living in Puerto Rico, we deal with consistently hot and humid weather year-round, so oil performance under heat is extremely important to me. Along with switching brands, I also made the decision to increase the viscosity from 0W-20 to 5W-30, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The engine runs noticeably smoother and quieter, especially during cold starts and long drives. Throttle response feels improved, and I honestly noticed a slight increase in power, particularly during acceleration and highway driving. One of my biggest concerns was fuel economy, but I'm happy to report that my MPG did not decrease at all, even with the higher viscosity. That alone speaks volumes about how well this oil performs. Given our tropical climate, the added protection of a thicker oil combined with Valvoline's cleaning and protection technology gives me a lot of confidence in long-term engine health. The truck feels happier, more refined, and better protected against heat stress. If you live in a hot, humid environment and want an oil that delivers smooth operation, solid protection, and no downside in fuel economy, I highly recommend giving Valvoline Restore & Protect a try. It's been a great upgrade for my 4Runner.

Good stuff. Cleans carbon deposits well. Cost efficient, no more money than other leading brands. Highly recommend this oil.

I changed my oil with restore and protect on my 2019 ford ranger XLT 4x4 very impressed gas mileage increased 4 miles per gallon I’m a believer in this oil will use it for ever

Keeping the build up from combustion from sticking to internal engine parts is critical this is the only solution that’s makes since. Even changing the oil more does not solve what this oil can do.good job valvoline I have always liked you life long tech.

This stuff works. Best oil on the market if you want to keep your engine clean. Hope Valvoline makes a European version with A40, MB 229.5 certs. A mid saps 504/507 certified Restore and Protect would also be amazing. Give us 0W-30 and 0W-40 grades Valvoline, please! :)
