Great; can't go wrong with leg quarters. Very economical because less labor when the the leg and thigh are not separated. Delicious prepared multiple ways--the internet abounds in wonderful methods %26 recipes. Valpak is part of Foster Farms so quality is there.

These 10 pound bags of leg quarters are a great, inexpensive protein source for someone on a tight budget. I noticed slightly "off" flavor in a bag I bought last year, but other than that aberration they've all tasted like chicken. I cook it simply. Salt and pepper, and slowly fry it in a skillet. No flour or other coating.

This bag of chicken is a great value for my family. I have baked the chicken, breaded and oven fried the chicken, and boiled the chicken. The chicken is moist and very flavorful. I just boiled a full bag this week and had 5 quarts of stock from it. I used the chicken and stock to make a gallon of chicken veg soup, and 6 cups of chicken salad, and several sandwiches.

I have to give this 10 pound bag chicken quarters three stars I can never give you five stars because the processing plant does not do a super good job. There's still chicken feathers and hairs on the drumsticks and lots of fat that you don't want there's like some type of slime or sludge on the chicken so I just separate every piece and there's usually 7 to 8/4 in a bag sometimes there's less depending on the weight but a few times that 7 to 8×3 because there's three parts on the corner you have over 20 pieces of chicken this would consist of Probably a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken. I clean this chicken with baking soda and white vinegar if you don't have the baking soda, you still need the white vinegar because it purifies the meat and you can use table salt or kosher salt when you wash it just let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes And then you can scrub off all the slime and sludge from the factory remove all the fatty spots and imperfections. I suggest that you wear rubber gloves so your hands don't smell like raw chicken later it's a good value, but you need to clean this chicken because it's always dirty. I'm sorry it's the truth, but I will recommend it to anyone trying to save and you can only afford chicken. You just have to clean this really well.

lots of excess fat and they cut the majority of the thigh meat off so your not getting a thigh and leg, which is what a chicken leg quarter is supposed to be.....a bit of false advertising.....your loosing about 2 to 3 pounds of weight after you clean and pack it into servings. But for only .89 cents a pound its still worth it if your on a tight budget like i am.

I believe they source these chicken quarters from different places. I hate it because the quality is not standard at all. Sometimes the product is borderline not fresh when it arrives home, sometimes it is very fresh and sometimes it's in between. Additionally, sometimes they are very small chicken quarters and another time they are very large quarters. The only thing that is consistent is the weight, 10 pounds. It is a staple in our home, and it is definitely a fallback food and these times with high inflation

this chicken is definitely pumped with water or other fluids of some kind and when I received it on delivery it had two days till expiration 10 lb of chicken is a lot to eat in 2 days so I boiled it all up separated into individual serving sizes and Frozen the chicken was bland because it was watered down would I buy this product again on a budget, maybe

Unfortunately if you want juicy chicken meat you won't get it with this package unless you like fat and bines even moreso. I promise you, you will be as DISAPPOINTED as i was. Who is responsible for starving these poor chickens? I have a family to feed, they don't eat FAT AND BONES! add pic later if possible

The packaging on this product is consistently poor. I purchase six at a time, and every time, at least one (often more) leaks all over my refrigerator. This forces me to empty and clean the entire fridge, which is frustrating and time-consuming. If I had other options for chicken quarters nearby, I wouldn't keep buying this. Walmart, please hold your vendors accountable for this kind of subpar packaging, or consider offering a different brand.

seriously how hard is it to keep both bags of chicken and fresh french garlic bread being that it's literally just french bread with garlic spread in between it even foodmaxx has it in stock if you can't keep certain items in stock it's obvious that customers will start leaving your store and purchasing from stores that are more reliable with keeping items in stock
