Valspar 028.0011002.008 Interior Ultimate Water Paint & Primer, Matte Ultra White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My walls were originally painted with a Valspar paint years ago. We had a leak from the ac unit and one wall and part of ceiling needed to be repaired. The original color was a dark grey/blue color. This Valspar Accolade Interior paint and primer covered the walls very well with one coat. However, I could still see some original paint here and there peeking through, so I chose to do two coats. The walls look so good. The color I chose was Sherwin Williams Gentle Shadow. The room is so much brighter and fresh looking now. I used a roller for the walls and a 2” wall and trim brush for the edges. The paint smell wasn't strong either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trust Valspar for reliable, great quality paints. This is my first time using Valspar's Accolade Interior Paint with Primer and I found it has a nice consistency, is easy to use with a brush or roller, applies well with no mess and is easy to clean up. It easily covers in one coat and I also love the fact that this has primer so I don't have to worry about what I am painting over. I was able to roll rooms with one coat and had no bleed through when covering a darker color. The rooms looked refreshed all the while I painted with this paint. This paint is so nice it actually made the old paint look ugly. I used the color “New Ream” in satin finish and it really makes the rooms look modern, clean and airy. I usually use ceiling paints for ceilings but used this on ceilings in two rooms with great coverage and results. I also used this on trim with a Valspar trim brush and it was really relaxing to brush paint with this paint it applies so well and looks great. I will definitely use Valspar Accolade paint again.

I was very excited that the paint had primer mixed in and it really did only take one coat. The blue color is gorgeous. I love my updated laundry room…although it is small and not the most functional, this update makes me very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to paint and, having purchased a 1930s home, I have LOTS of painting to do. I have been very loyal to two competing paint brands for a while due to the excellent coverage of their “premium” paint and primer in one. I painted a bedroom with the Accolade paint. I did not prime beforehand…just prepped. The bedroom was a faint blue color and I was painting over in a white shade. The paint went on very easy, covered well with just the first coat, and provided a good finish. I am super impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not nor.ally use paint and primer together. However this time I did and I'm not sure there is any going back after this. I used this paint to cover up walls that were pink and purple mixed together. So yes as you can imagine a hard job to do. This Valspar paint and primer did a fantastic job. It went on smoothly and did the job. The primer being mixed in was what I needed to get the job done. I had no issues with opening the can, stirring the paint or drips on the walls. I will be using this brand on my next project.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a painter, but I did get help, and this was amazing, my friend and I had no issues, as a matter of fact, actually pleasantly surprised that you didn't need a primer all you needed. It was this one product and this one product alone Color was amazing. It was very easy to apply. Thank you, Valspar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When looking for a paint to paint a room in our house I was so confused on what I needed to use to cover the walls as the little kids before us wrote on the walls . We got this primer and paint in a light color as we wanted and it covered with no issues! This is my new to go paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The satin finish was a bit too glossy for the room I planned on using it on so I painted my long overdue garage and utility room. it looks fabulous. The walls were very scuffed and many areas needed repair. This paint went on so smoothly with no spattering. Two gallons was more than enough with paint left over for touch ups. It pays to use good quality paint. You save time and get a much better end result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed with how low odor this paint is. I'm prone to headaches when painting and it didn't happen with this product. The next morning after painting, there was none of the usual strong fresh paint smell. For that reason alone, I will stick to this paint collection in the future. The project I did involved a hallway and a playroom at the bottom of the staircase. It wasn't a huge makeover but the walls were dull, yellowed and patched up. It freshened them up and the finish is far superior now. The walls have a nice sheen and any future stain will be easy to clean off. The color I chose was “New Ream”. I thought there would be an hint of beige in it but it's more of an ultra white. I liked that I could save time and skip the primer with this paint. It had no problem covering existing stains on the wall. However, it appeared blotchy after one coat and a second coat was definitely needed, especially where the paint had been applied with a paint brush along the edges. Other than that, the paint dried super fast and that made it easy to complete each area of my project in a day.
