Valspar 028.0011002.008 Interior Ultimate Water Paint & Primer, Matte Ultra White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My walls were originally painted with a Valspar paint years ago. We had a leak from the ac unit and one wall and part of ceiling needed to be repaired. The original color was a dark grey/blue color. This Valspar Accolade Interior paint and primer covered the walls very well with one coat. However, I could still see some original paint here and there peeking through, so I chose to do two coats. The walls look so good. The color I chose was Sherwin Williams Gentle Shadow. The room is so much brighter and fresh looking now. I used a roller for the walls and a 2” wall and trim brush for the edges. The paint smell wasn't strong either.

This is my first time using Valspar's Accolade Interior Paint with Primer and I found it has a nice consistency, is easy to use with a brush or roller, applies well with no mess and is easy to clean up. It easily covers in one coat and I also love the fact that this has primer so I don't have to worry about what I am painting over. I was able to roll rooms with one coat and had no bleed through when covering a darker color. The rooms looked refreshed all the while I painted with this paint. This paint is so nice it actually made the old paint look ugly. I used the color “New Ream” in satin finish and it really makes the rooms look modern, clean and airy. I usually use ceiling paints for ceilings but used this on ceilings in two rooms with great coverage and results. I also used this on trim with a Valspar trim brush and it was really relaxing to brush paint with this paint it applies so well and looks great. I will definitely use Valspar Accolade paint again.

I was very excited that the paint had primer mixed in and it really did only take one coat. The blue color is gorgeous. I love my updated laundry room…although it is small and not the most functional, this update makes me very happy!

Figuring out paint color can be hard, but I am so happy I went with this color because it's not overpowering and too bright and it's not too dull. I really like the satin sheen finish. The best part is probably the application. You can tell it's a nice quality paint and I'm very happy with how well it's holding up in the high traffic areas I used it!

The accolade paint went on very smooth and didn't need multiple coats. This is a combo paint and primer which eliminate an extra step and appears to have worked well.

This was easy to apply and clean up after. You can get this in a variety of size and color options. Vey easy to find and not to pricey either.

This was my first time painting so I din't know what to expect. And using this paint made things easy and simple. I only had to apply one coat and it didn't take long to dry. It even covered the small marks I had with no problem. I will be purchasing this paint when it's time to repaint my bedrooms.
