Valspar 028.0071000.008 Interior Silver Flat Pail Paint, White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We seem to always be switching colors in our house so we've tried different types of paints but none made the job as easy as this. It seems to use less paint and definitely less coats so I was very pleased that it cut painting time in at least half.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paint hid more than I expected. The color was silver 5000 which is an average, grey, cement concrete color. I tested it on wood, plastic, plaster, drywall and concrete walls and floors. The coating and color all looked similar. I didn't see much bleed through except for the section of wall that went from bare surface to primed surface. The eggshell finish naturally helps to hide surface imperfections. I ended up using it on the walls and floors. First, I cut in the edges with a brush. The first pass laid it down too thick, to the point of having a brush texture. So, I kept working it until it thinned down. I feathered the edges so it would blend better when I rolled the surface. Given the thickness of the paint, I needed to put the roller on a pole so that I could apply enough pressure to thin out the coating. When applying it, it looked like one coat would do the job. After it dried, I could see the thin spots so I ended up giving most of the areas two coats, I gave the floor four coats in the high traffic areas. The paint can go over multiple surfaces. I used it on the concrete walls, the electrical conduit, plumbing and anything else that was a surface that didn't need to be bare. I gave me a consistent color across the whole area. The longer it dries, the more durable it gets. Even though it has faster timelines on the can, I did the second coat at 24 hours and the remaining two floor coats in the next 24-hour period. It is high hide paint with good coverage for my workshop and the basement.

This paint goes on smooth and doesn't clump up or dry like all the other brands I have used. It's like you don't even need a second coat. I'll be buying again forsure.

I only had to use one coat on the wall I painted which was nice surprise! I highly recommend Valspar Paint for any home improvement jobs.

I used a paintbrush, and it went on evenly with no streaks. It covered my walls in one coat, and it looks beautiful. There's no chemical smell and dries in 1 to 4 hours to the touch. Valspar Pro-Hide Silver 5000 eggshell Interior Paint makes clean-up easy. Just use a little warm soapy water and that's it. Valspar gets the job done and won't let you down. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Valspar® Pro-Hide® Silver 5000 Interior Paint seems to cover good. I like that it dries in 30 mins. I also like that you can paint multiple things beside drywall with it. like wood plaster and metals. It does seem like it takes more then other paints I have used.
