best oil to use over factory which has high cost!
This works perfectly fine on 2010-2015 Prius’. It also works on Hondas that require DW-1, although you may opt to add Lubegard to make it more similar to DW-1. Great fluid, versatile, honest packaging.
Works great in my rebuilt transmission
I was hesitant to use a multi-vehicle type fluid, but I've had excellent results in a Ford, Kia and Chevy. Never fear using this modern Valvoline formula!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF on an older car that had started showing the usual high-mileage transmission quirks—sluggish shifting in the morning and the occasional hard shift when it got hot. I didn’t want to spend dealership prices for OEM fluid, so I gave this a shot after hearing good things. Right away, I noticed a difference. After the first drain and fill, the shifts felt smoother and less “clunky.” On cold mornings, the transmission used to hesitate, but now it engages faster and doesn’t feel like it’s struggling to find the right gear. Over a few hundred miles, the overall drive just became more consistent. One thing I especially like is that it’s made with seal conditioners. My car has over 150k miles, and I’ve been worried about leaks. Since switching, I haven’t noticed any spots under the car, and that gives me peace of mind. It also runs quieter—there’s less of that faint whining sound that used to creep in on long highway drives. Now, I’ll say this: if your transmission is already badly worn or slipping, this isn’t a miracle fix. It helps, but it won’t rebuild worn clutches or replace a failing solenoid. For me, it definitely improved drivability and gave the transmission a “healthier” feel, but it’s not a cure-all. The other big plus is the price. For a synthetic fluid that covers so many different specs, it feels like good insurance without draining your wallet. The only caution I’d give is to double-check that your car’s transmission is actually compatible with it. Some makes (especially certain Hondas or Toyotas) can be picky about fluids, so I made sure to cross-check the spec before pouring it in. Overall, I’ve been really happy with MaxLife. It feels like the right balance of performance, protection, and value—especially for keeping an older transmission running smoothly. I plan on sticking with it for future changes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came in handy just in time! My husbands transmission had been acting up and this has been a life saver until we’re able to get it replaced. 10/10
I've used Maxlife ATF in multiple Ford and GM transmissions and it has never let me down. In my experience if Valvoline says it can be used in a particular transmission use it with confidence
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Valvoline product was of good use to me for my vehicle. It is not what I typically use for it, but it was very helpful to have. You should go check it out, maybe it takes a worry off your shoulder.
I paid for 1 Gallon of transmission fluid which comes out to 4 quarts!! But you guys were out of 1 gallon jug. instead you guy’s gave 3 quarts in your calculations that comes out to same price. Basically you guys don’t care
