Van Ness Enclosed Extra-Giant Translucent Cat Litter Pan with Odor Door

I bought this because I was tired of cleaning up the mess my cat makes when digging in his litter and covering up his business. I've tried other covered litter pans in the past, but my cat was too nervous about going in a dark enclosed space. Also, I found it awkward to have to find a place to put the cover down when I cleaned out the litter box and hard to tell when it needed cleaning. This covered litter box with a translucent lid worked out perfectly for both me and my cat. It's clear enough to let light come through, so my cat is more comfortable using it. The reflected light also helps me tell if the box needs cleaning, without having to remove the lid. I put a hook on the wall behind the litter box, and that's where I put the lid when I take it off. I am so happy about how much easier this has made my life. Laugh if you will, but I smile every time I see my cat use the box. And all for a ridiculously low price.

Very nice litter box. The door keeps the odor down and it's deep enough to keep the litter inside.

Would have given this five stars as my large cat loves the extra space however, the very top of the litter box cover is cracked. Since it is on the top, the box is still usable however I am very disappointed because this item cannot be picked up from a local Walmart store must be shipped and is shipped with absolutely zero packing and why item can easily get cracked/broken. Walmart please fix how items are picked and packed for shipping thx

The cat litter box was received on time. Once opened and while putting it together, which was very easy with no problems except there was no handle provided for the top section. There was suppose to be one but it just wasn't there. I could have kept it and made do or made a handle of my own but decided for $30 it needed to be returned so the company would know their mistake. The litter box itself was just the size I was looking for to allows my grown cats to get in %26 out of easily. It also appeared to help with the issue I have with my cats kicking the litter out all over the place surrounding the box. I noticed on the reviews there seemed to be a problem with the lid latching on. When it was put together I thought the latches seemed to be very secure to keep the lid on. I returned it to my local Walmart without any problems and received my credit back the same day.

item was cracked on corner and clip was broke off ... the flap to go in and out is not very sturdy and falls off. just was one of the reasons i bought and was kinda disappointed but a nice litter box

arrived broken %26 missing 2 of the clips on both sides of the backside that snap down to hold litter pan %26 lid together . light weight and it's cheaply made !

Cheap plastic. Lock snaps easily break, the door doesn't swing both directions. Thought it would be good quality because the original price was 70.00 but only pd 26. I guess you get what you pay for.

I've had the giant blue V.N. box last years, before it needed replacing and the need was only due to my desire to get a fresh %26 unscratched up box. I had equally high hopes with this one and it didn't even last a month. Plastic too thin and flimsy and we were taking extra delicate care with it after realizing just how crappy its manufacturing is. Didn't make a difference though. I had just cleaned and refilled it, lifted it about 2-3" off the ground by the handle, to put it in the boot tray we keep our box on, the handle broke off, down went the box and crack up the side of the base. Not too severe, but regardless the base was now cracked. It held for the next 2 weeks until we got something else, but we'd only had it a month, that was 4 total change outs before we had to scrap it. Yeah not worth it.

I bought this cat pan for the second time as the first one came with a broken lid from top to bottom.When the second one came the cat pan lid was also broken again this time at the snaps. I was extremely disappointed and had reported it both times. I will be very wary of ordering any products that can be broken.

The second one came in also damaged. Cheap plastic. First time I scooped out my cats poop clasps fell off. Very very cheaply made
