With decades of gardening experience, I consider myself a well-versed gardener. I have never planted roots before; it was a new experience for me. Van Zyverden has a website where you can get planting and care information. They even have a section, Ask a Gardener, where you can ask questions. This takes all the guesswork out and you can plant with confidence! I'm excited that this phlox attracts hummingbirds and butterflies! They have already germinated and I'm looking forward to these beautiful flowers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a huge fan of easy perenials but haven't planted Phlox in years. I took a risk and got this one to see how it would grow in my area. I live in a sunny part of northern california. They haven't grown yet, but the packaging was nice. I read on-line that you should soak the roots for a couple of hours before planting. Now I'm eagerly awaiting :)

I have started to see some sprouts and did have to research how much watering this kind of plant needs to flower but overall it looks amazing

I hope the bloom fast ! i can't wait ! so yes i would recommend you giving them a try. you can't beat the price!

I lose it apart and planted one as instructed, two inches under the soil about a month ago and I have yet to see anything grow. I actually planted it in a pot as we were still having cold days and colder nights. I kept it where it would get sun everyday in my bay window. Sadly nothing. I either don't have a green thumb or it needed to be outside in deeper soil. I have no idea, I just know I got nothing and it's disappointing.
