I bought 9 of these twice. Out of the 18, 8 have grown. They were carefully planted just under the surface, and this is western Oregon so water was NOT an issue. Maybe bare rut ferns are fickle. I don't know.

pretty dried out, but 2 of them might make it
2 of the 3 had sprouts - the third was dry and hard - soil was very dry - the 2 healthier ones are holding on, but no new growth after a week - the third is... probably lost

not as advertized
The ferns were not the species described, but Christmas ferns. Plants were small and while they sprouted do not seem to be thriving.

Rotting, like almost every other Van Zyverden item
Walmart/Van Zyverden need to audit their storage and fulfillment procedures. Nearly every item I've ordered from this brand ends up in disappointment. These arrived dried, dead, and rotting. Please do better. None of the other mail order plant and bulb companies I use have this astoundingly high failure rate.

Would like a replacement,
I ordered 3 ferns April 27; I followed all the directions, I ordered 3 more on may 1st. I paid about23.00 for 2 packages. None have come up.not good. Please replace with live.
