Vanilla® Visa® $100 Gold Bowtie Gift Card (Plus $6.84 Purchase Fee)

Got 2 of these for my sister to help her out , as I do every month . The woman at WM didn't activate the cards , so now I have to open a case with Visa . I hope I'm not out $ 213 . This is first time this has happened . I don't know why the employee didn't do their job to save me the hassle and possibly losing my money .

I purchased three cards as a gift. Did not activate them since I was mailing them. The recipient of the cards was unable to activate them. After spending a better part of an hour on the phone with Vanilla I was only able to activate 2 of the 3 cards. I was told they will have to "investigate" the 3rd card. In the meantime, I need to email them a copy of my DL, verification of address (a utility bill), copy of front and back of card and a copy of my receipt. All because I wanted to send someone $100.00. Then I was advised it will take 10-15 days to receive a response. What a pain!! I never buy gift cards or debit cards, now I know why. When asked what happens with my money if the card cannot be activated the customer service rep (who was nice enough, but I could scarcely understand, sorry - I'm just stating the facts) could not answer that question. NEVER AGAIN!! Next time I'm using Zelle!

DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. I bought 3 cards as gifts for my grandchildren. When I tried to activate them, it did not work. I contacted the number on the card. After submitting the requested documents several times, I have gotten no resolution. It has been over 5 weeks.

I ordered two vanilla gift cards from Walmart.com and the cards was shipped to me. I received the cards with an activation issue and was not able to use the cards. I contacted Walmart.com and they issued a refund however the refund was issued to the card used u the original purchase which was a temporary issued by Four to pay for the total order. Walmart has no way to submit a Walmart gift for the refund resend out another gift cards. Now me the consumer is made to contact Four to get a refund for what Walmart sent me. That's not fair to me at all. Walmart didn't do everything they could've to help me. I've been a loyal customer for years with an online account and always ordering. The rules is not right and need to be changed just as if o purchase the gift cards in the store and U return them and presented with cash or a Walmart gift card.

The fact when we got the cards delivered they were not loaded as beingnpurchased so we were not able to avtivate and use them. we are are the $106.48 for each card. We can't get anyone to help us with this with costumer service keeps giving us a run atound and every person has a different answer

This card was a scam. I purchased four, hundred dollar gift cards as payment for a guest speaker at work and when they tried activating them, every last one “didn't have funds available yet” according to Vanilla Gifts' customer service… They assured us the issue would be resolved within 15 days MAX and it's still ongoing now, a month and a half later. I suggest picking these cards up at a physical store as opposed to ordering online. It may even be worth your time to activate your cards before gifting them.

Bought this $100 Vanilla Visa Gift Card online for a graduation gift on May 21, 2025. When we called to activate it, the automated system said there was a problem with the card. Took the card back to Customer Service at Walmart. Was informed that they could not do anything with the card and to call the number on the back of the Vanilla Visa Gift Card. Called the number on the back of the card and reported the problem. Have sent requested receipt documentation 3 times. Each time I have been told it would take 15 days to review. At this point, the estimated resolution date is July 11, 2025 from Vanilla Visa Gift Card. I called the number for Walmart.com given to me by Customer Service at Walmart, inside the store. The rep was not able to give me a refund but said he was transferring my complaint to the back office to be prioritized. He explained that I should hear something in 2-10 business days. I do not understand why I have to deal with Vanilla Gift when I ordered the card from Walmart. It's been almost a month since I bought this worthless gift card and still do not have a resolution! By the time it is resolved, the graduate will be finishing their Summer Semester!! More than angry and out $100 for a worthless card!!

Was not able to activate cards...Vanilla card Customer Service said 5 to 30 business days to wait for activation after I emailed them proof of purchase...I wish I could of gave zero stars but that was not an option...this was a gift and was quite embarassing that the person was not able to use it...Thank you Wal-Mart for refunding me because I've read reviews from folks who were not able to get a refund from Vanilla gift card company...Again...that company should be investigated for Fraud.

TERRIBLE GIFT! Ordered for my granddaughter-had it delivered. Wal-mart did not “activate” per Vanilla Visa. Vanilla Visa rep had NEVER heard of Wal-mart.com- after 45 minutes, I hung up. I am out my $100 - my granddaughter was so disappointed- DO NOT BUY ONLINE- DO NOT BUY ONLINE!!

I bought 3 $100 gift cards as thank you gifts for my son's teachers. After the recipients told me the cards didn't work I called Vanilla gift card's customer service. The customer rep verified that the cards do not work and I have to submit evidence of my purchase order from Walmart.com to the email address he provided. A week passed and after not hearing from Vanilla gift card company I sent an email to Walmart.com that handles gift card issues. I'm having the worst customer experience from both companies. These gift cards are non returnable so I'm stuck with something that cannot be used.
