Perfect compilation
I bought another 6-disc Vivaldi collection on Warner Bros classics. The first three discs were good, but the last three were filled with odd, tuneless and grating vocals by sopranos. I just wanted to familiarize myself with Vivaldi and I wondered, is this all he really wrote? Then I saw this collection and noticed there was a lot more instrumental than vocal so I decided to give Vivaldi one more try. Am I ever glad I did. This is a rich tuneful and beautiful collection! The vocals are kept at a minimum and some are with a full choir. I recommend this collection HIGHLY. Vivaldi and I are getting along just fine now! Now I understand why he is a beloved composer.
