This is an absolutely fantastic CD! My husband and I saw the movie, and I knew immediately I wanted the soundtrack. I can't stand the country music you hear on the radio today, but this music really goes back to it's roots. I was already familiar with Ryan Bingham, so I knew his songs would be great. I was surprised at the sound of Jeff Bridges, and love his voice. If you like this CD, you should also check out Hayes Carll, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, and Daryl Dodd. Texas country is SO much better than Nashville country. There's a whole world of wonderful music out there, people! This soundtrack will give you a taste of it.

And who would have thought that Jeff Bridges could sing? And sing he does with a sincere and original sound. Go Jeff. WalMart... Offerd a buy on-line and pick up in store service. Worked like a champ and saved me shipping expenses. I had gone to the store looking for the album. It was not yet in stock. The great music in the movie was as great, and much more, on the CD. Jeff Bridges was a surprise hit with "Fallin' & Flyin'" and Ryan Bingham is just outstanding with "I Don't Know;" a song that should be considered for an award. Townes Van Zandt's "If I Needed You" was equally great. Over all, this is a great music CD.

LOVED the movie and just had to get the soundtrack! It has all the great songs from the movie.

I purchased this as a gift and was very pleased to find it at Walmart on line. I was not able to find it anywhere else.
