Vaultz® Storage Clipboard, 8 1/2" x 11", Black

I bought this for work and what I love about it is that it holds a multitude of things. I can really function with this storage unit. I usually have my paperwork on the clipboard and personal things inside. It comes with a key (which I haven't used yet) but a coworker saw mines and had to have one because she said that keeps nosey people at bay. The cheapest one I found was at Walmart.

This serves as a hard surface to write/draw on with a clip, several compartments for supplies and a Velcro strap to secure a computer/tablet! It comes with 2keys ,the lock is built in. Really handy!!!!

no a total metal clipboard. has a fiberboard writing surface, might not be very good when used outdoors.

It's good for every day use. But would be nice if it was fireproof and or waterproof.

I was looking for a clipboard case that I could put (cash) in to pay some hard working teens, at the end of the day. While still having the ability to carry, pens, files, contracts and a receipt book. I came across this hard case. It looked like it would work great for my needs. The clipboard front was strong and durable, the case materials are hard and stable, the inside of the case has an excellent fabric lining on one side, for holding money and coins, or whatever you need. The opposite side has a Velcro strap, that you can use to secure your files and papers. The issue I have, is the lock and key. If I am going to put, a lot of money in this, it needs more security. The tiny key that comes with it is a joke at best. I used a small flathead screwdriver to twist the lock and it worked the same as the key did. For the case itself it would be 5 stars, but the lock is a joke and laughable. So if your gonna use this to store files and money. It's not going to be the right one for you. But if you want the illusion of safety mixed with the excellent craftsmanship of a hard case with clip. This is the best item for you.

More bulkier than i thought, was heavy.

Unfortunately, I was not really impressed with this item. The primary reason for that was the locking mechanism did not operate smoothly. In terms of a clipboard, with room for document storage, this item functions well. The locking feature however, less than satisfactory.
