Very easy to get going. The only thing is the box said it had to sit for 24 hours before starting , I was excited for nugget ice right away. The instructions are pretty easy, a couple questionable areas but easy to figure out. It cleans itself which is nice. It makes ice very fast, a batch every few minutes which is great. Over all if you are an ice eater like myself I would recommend it.
This icemaker is such a convenient addition to my kitchen. The nugget style ice. And a machine that makes soft chewable ice right on my countertop is amazing. Comes out quickly and the machine produces a good amount throughout the day. It's perfect for drinks, iced coffee, and even feeling a small cooler. It's compact enough to keep on my counter without taking up too much space. The portable design makes it easy to move if needed.
While I like and enjoy this ice maker, there are a couple of problems. The ice maker was packed very well, avoiding damage during shipping. The instructions were straightforward. Comes with a handle for carrying. This is big and heavy, I don't really see it being portable. A little scoop comes with it, too. Instructions state to clean the machine first. The self-cleaning instructions were clear and easy. Did not take long to clean and drain. The fill line is very visible in the tank. It took between 30-40 oz to fill to that line. The machine isn't too loud. it's noticeable in the kitchen but can't hear from another room. It took a couple of minutes for it to get going well. At first, it was slush chunks. But then the "sonic" ice started producing. When I returned a little later, the basket was almost full, and plenty of water left. Another check The ice was completely full. This was a problem. It states that when the basket is full, the machine will light up to show that the basket is full. And it will stop making ice. That did not happen. There was no indicator light. And you could hear the machine trying to spit out ice but couldn't. I emptied the basket into the sink. This is per the instructions, throw out the first batch. Test %232. Once the basket was almost full, I emptied it. A little later, I went back, and you could hear the machine trying to make ice but couldn't. The machine was out of water. It states that when the machine runs out of water, it will stop trying to make ice, and the indicator light will be on. That did not happen. ***I have to unplug the machine once I finish making a basket or two. This doesn't really bother me. That was my plan, but others with bigger families may not like that.*** The ice is delicious!!! 😋 Yes, it is "sonic" ice!! It is fast and produces a lot. It is easy to use. There are smaller and cheaper versions. But do they make the best ice ever? Keep that in mind.
