Definitely dispensed much quicker than the leading brand name stuff in a can. however other than that I didn't see much of a benefit. I used the included nozzles screwed onto my spray foam gun and couldn't get a wide fan spray like I was hoping for so I think I'll just stick to the cheaper "great stuff" .... it might spray better using their own branded foam gun but I didn't want to invest in another gun for my small project.
This was just as I needed, am remodeling/repairing an older house and taking the outside walls down to the studs. Replacing the insulation and repairs as needed. This is just what I needed to polish the new walls for much better insulation. and it is priced so I can do as I go.
it stuck it was we easy to apply and included everything
This stuff flat gets after it! Felt a huge difference this winter in this ole 1901 built home.
I really like the spray tips. I couldn't work the control flow because I was in a small area and didn't have enough room figure it out. but I did a good job blocking everything off so I didn't make a mess then after I took it all down I decided to touch up a couple places and made a mess but if you let it dry it's easy to clean up. I like the stuff and I will be buying it again
I am insulating a van. I chose the single-component spray foam route (as opposed to using the dual-component kits) because it gave me much more freedom in experimenting with the product and doing the foam job in stages. This Vega Bond purple foam worked pretty well. I did have to apply two layers, but it is best to put the first coat on very thin. Here are things to know: - Warm up the product and spray on a warm day. I wrapped cans in a heating blanket. - Make sure surface is clean, then mist with a little water as recommended, although in my tests, I am not totally sure this is necessary. - I sprayed the roof surfaces first when the pressure in the can is the highest. - When the can pressure got low, I used the remaining product in the can to fill cavities. It gets a bit messy when the pressure gets low because the foam isn't "pushed" onto the surface hard enough to make it stick. It may just roll down, but keep in mind I was applying this to the metal walls of a van. - I found I needed to clean the tip often with the supplied cleaner. - Experiment with at least one can. Turn the pressure knob all the way down, then back up a few full turns and test the spray. If you have it at full blast, you may just end up with big blobs of foam where you don't want it. - Experiment to find your spray technique, that is, how far away to hold the can and how fast you move across the surface while spraying. You will eventually get used to what you will need for your project. I'm posting a picture of some panels that have been sprayed. It may not look great now, but I will fill in some gaps and then cover everything with paneling, cabinets, and so on. In the first panel on the left, the pressure was too low for it to stick to the metal. It started folding away, so next day, I had to pull it off and will respray later. The other panels show better results.
Didn't get the area I wanted covered due to 6 of the cans not working they just spit instead of sprayed like other cans did messed with spray adjustment's. No change just seemed like cans were down on pressure or something. Not really happy with this wasted more time and effort trying to cover a small area in my shop I couldn't get foam board into. Stay away use a more known name brand or some things else. The cans that worked seemed ok.. not sure how well it's really gonna seal or be r6 at over 1”.
I may have missed it in the description but I do not recall seeing anywhere that the spray gun is sold separately.
I only got to use one out of six cans. For some reason after following the directions exactly I stopped to change the spray gun that comes with it and used cleaner foam exactly like the direction says to and now I don't get any more pressure from cans and two of cans starting coming from the seal so they are going to be ruined. The one can that came out was perfect texture so it's very disappointing to have 5 cans not working.
This is horrible when spraying the gun get clogged up an very fast an when you use cleaner it sprays out strong, This product is so backwards..I did everything right an it dont work like the videos you promote. This iswas a waste og my money.
